Works well with unbiased rendering engines 4 stars
It's not perfect, but it works a lot better than the "remove noise" filter in Photoshop. I used it to get rid of the fireflies in a LuxRender image and it worked fairly well. The output was only slightly soft (nowhere near as bad as anything Photoshop does). I used Photoshop's "smart sharpen" on the output from HotPixels Eliminator and then it looked exactly like the original except a lot less noise. Price: Free
