I have been using spybot, superantispyware and malwarebytes (all free editions). Only Spybot gives real time protection, but it is not effective. Obsolete, I must say. Spyware Terminator 2012 gives real time protection and its interface is quite clean. It is easy to use and has automatic updates. Its free edition does not include anti virus. For anti virus, I use Avast - the best tool.
