I have only used the join functionality. It works, producing an album file (the original mp3 files can be extracted again) which plays like a single mp3 file. This is good.
Not so good is that I found my Windows XP (Home) Explorer display would not correctly show the tag field values after conversion (many showing as empty) and I could not correct these in my favourite tag editors.
Also the Join function interface is a little annoying in that I cannot control file names and Title, Album, Author and so on, because of the way the default settings work. All too constraining and too fiddly, with it re-presenting options and settings that I did not want each time, whilst not remembering those I did want. I had to re-edit several of these Tags after conversion. To make a truly merged mp3 file that did not contain all the original information and files (which is what I really wanted), I had to reconvert with another tool afterwards.
Overall though it has potential to be very useful.
