I have tried several so called compression aids and have been usually disappointed with the results.
To my surprise the quality of resized JPEG pictures down to 33% with PIXresizer resulted in excellent pictures.
That, because of the file size reduction ( from 2.95 MB down to 164 KB ) makes the resultant download time for picture-webpages very fast indeed. Moreover, I could not see any detail loses which is usually to be expected in JPEG compressed pictures.
Converting from one format to another i.e JPEG to GIF or Bitmap etc.,is very comfortable and pleasing and the multiple file functions are a tremendous advantage to the user.
