I was using a different free program-and getting very frustrated with editing. I am new to the world of audio recording and editing and needed a program with a low learning threshold. WavePad fits the bill! A plus, it is easy to import files from my digital voice recorder, something the other program did very poorly. NOTE: WavePad is totally free to use, they just offer an advanced version for sale. If you are not a professional, this should be all you need. However, the price for the advanced version is low-a big plus in the world of expensive software. For $38, I would certainly consider upgrading if I ever need the advanced features! I feel more skilled with WavePad in one afternoon, than I do after a week with the other program! Price: Free
