StartRight is an app that I just stumbled upon, so I don't have much expertise on what is available from commercial applications. All I can say is that StartRight works as advertised. As an aside, I finally disabled qttask.exe by using it. I would easily recommend this to anyone frustrated by the lack of responsiveness exhibited by Windows during the first minute after login.
