Newsbin Pro Newsbin Pro

Fast and easy for newbies 5 stars
If you are trying out newsreaders for the first time, save yourself some frustration and narrow your choice between Newsbin Pro, Forte Agent and Tifny. Each will have you up and running quickly unlike so many others I could name. Yet Forte lacks multiple simultaneous downloading or thumbnail previews, a kinda big deal, I think. And Tifny didn't end my Search, either. Enter Newsbin Pro: I tried it, I liked it, I even paid for it(!!). Good support with various versions, betas. Price: Free Trial ($35.00)

PicWalker PicWalker

Best explorer-view display options 5 stars
The only viewer I've tried that allows seemingly no limit to enlargement of thumbs in the explorer-type interface- very handy if one wishes to cull large image collections quickly and intelligently. Are they really thumbs at all when they're palm-sized? A keeper of a program along with FS Viewer with its superior editing of single images. Price: Free
