5 is great, 6 is a waste of money 3 stars
I made the mistake of "upgrading" to System mechanic 6, and like some others, contacted tech support, except they did respond, with "updates" that did not fix the problems. It kept telling me that repairs were needed on drive C:, and it would freeze up while removing broken shortcuts. I believe they released a beta, and I paid $30 for the "upgrade". (My disk analysis for my drive passed with flying colors) I uninstalled 6, and still use System Mechanic 5. Don't make the same mistake I did. I should have tried it for 30 days before even thinking of buying it. Price: Free Trial ($49.95)
