AVG is very good at detecting viruses. We all appreciate that it is also free for consumer use. However, it is distracting to have constant and frequent update reminders right in the middle of the screen while working on a project. You have to click on it to get it to leave and then it may activate the "blue screen of death" crashing your computer losing all of your work. It caused the same problems on both of the computers it was tried on. I had to uninstall AVG. Price: Free
