software based failover solution Simple Failover is a software based failover solution, that monitors your HTTP, FTP, SMTP, POP3, NNTP or IMAP server(s) continuously, and can dynamically update DNS records in case a server becomes unavailable. This allows you to quickly redirect traffic to a secondary server and minimize downtime - of course, this requires that you do have a secondary server location. The DNS records can be updated directly via DNS protocol (optionally using encrypted signatures for security), WMI, HTTP based dynamic IP updates, or via custom scripting.
