Telnet/SSH client PuTTY is a free SSH, Telnet and Rlogin client for 32-bit Windows systems, along with an xterm terminal emulator. Multi-user operating systems, such as Unix and VMS, usually present a command-line interface to the user, much like the `Command Prompt' or `MS-DOS Prompt' in Windows. The system prints a prompt, and you type commands which the system will obey. Using this type of interface, there is no need for you to be sitting at the same machine you are typing commands to. The commands, and responses, can be sent over a network, so you can sit at one computer and give commands to another one, or even to more than one. Copyright Snapfiles.com

A must 5 stars by fabrizio_conte Dec 07, 2007 (Read all my 5 reviews)
Easy to use. Excellent documentation and lots of examples. I've being using it for years to open remote terminals and to create tunnels without experiencing troubles or hangs up. A must in my personal toolbox. show Review details
Putty does the job 4 stars by KentinKS Jul 06, 2005 (Read all my 2 reviews)
I have used Putty for a number of years. It allows all the access you need to access your SSH server securely and warns of a change in RSA keys when a condition has changed on the local machine. show Review details
