tweak Adobe Reader options PDF SpeedUp can significantly speed up the time it takes to open a PDF document in Adobe Reader. Normally, when Adobe Reader starts it loads many plug-ins which you may or may not need, PDF SpeedUp simply disables the plug-ins and loads only those that are absolutely necessary. You can also manually enable or disable selected plug-ins and turn off updates, splash screen and advertising in the Adobe toolbar. You can restore your original Adobe Reader settings at any time. PDF SpeedUp supports all versions of Acrobat Reader. PDF SpeedUp used to make a significant difference with older versions of Adobe Reader, but we could not find any noticeable speed increase when using it with Adobe Reader 9, 10 or newer.
