Podcast receiver Juice (formerly iPodder) allows you to automatically download and organize audio content from various online sources. The Podcast system works similar to RSS feeds, only that it downloads audio files (mp3), that are provided by various Internet radio stations and other channels. Juice includes a content archive that you can choose from to get started, and you can also add your custom URLs to download your favorite shows. The program can automatically check for new content and download it for you without further interaction. It integrates with iTunes and downloaded shows are automatically added to your iTunes library. Not too juicy 2 stars by gimpguy Oct 22, 2008 (Read all my 1159 reviews)
Off the bat it wouldn't install un ... that's a big, MINUS. Finally managed to get it to install. Then of course it would have been nice if it recognized my ipod but wouldn't. After unplugging and plugging in numerous times it recognized it. Juice caused and error and shut down. Now, every time I run it, it would shut down. Being the patient person I am, I figured, let's march over to the forum for some help, well, IF there was a forum, the link keeps bringing me to a dead page. So I did some Googling to find another forum or support, well, I didn't get far and wasted too much time already. I will stay with Yamipod for now thank you. I tried but you can't squeeze JUICE from a stone. No way for me to completely say what the interface was like since I couldn't really use it. show Review details
Stay away until critical flaws are fixed 2 stars by fredthompson May 30, 2006 (Read all my 4 reviews)
Juice looks beautiful and the interface is really nice. However, there is no way to rename the downloaded files. The "human readable" title might be "Photoshop TV episode 29" but you'll get the actual file name when the download is done. This makes it useless, in my opinion. Juice most certainly has all the needed information in its records but the developers seem to have a "screw you" attitude. It's very obvious in their forum when their response to a person asking for file renaming was instruction to "complain to the person who made the feed". Too bad. It looks nice and runs well but without file renaming, it's a complete waste of time, especially with the developer attitude. show Review details
