mount ISO images as virtual drives Gizmo Drive enables you to mount ISO, BIN, CUE, NRG and VHD files to a virtual drive letter, allowing you to access CD/DVD content without the need to insert the physical media. You can easily create .ISO images from CD or DVD discs or local folders and load them into a virtual drive letter as needed. In addition, Gizmo Drive can even create virtual hard drives that can be used to store files in an encrypted state, as well as fast performing RAM drives, using custom drive sizes and file systems. All your ISO images and virtual drives are readily accessible from a library and can be mounted/unmounted as needed. The program lets you mount multiple images at the same time and can also mount selected images automatically when Windows starts. Gizmo Drive comes as part of Gizmo Central, an application suite that also contains several other freeware utilities (SQL Query Analyzer, Text Editor, Task Scheduler, Hash calculator), you can choose to install only Gizmo Drive or any of the other utilities as well. Wow 5 stars by gimpguy Aug 29, 2012 (Read all my 1159 reviews)
It definitely does more than just .iso management. Virtual drives, database, mount, burn, plenty of behavior and looks options, and more. I almost feel there are too many options as far as how it looks and behaves to be honest. But regardless, it's been flawless, works great, fast and one of those programs you find you must keep on your computer. Free? Yes and a must have. show Review details
No ease of use 2 stars by SeSorrow May 02, 2011 (Read all my 29 reviews)
I saw the previous review and thought I would give it a look-see. Holy cow, what a waste of my time! The thing is bundled with a suite where you MUST install a core package to run. Everything runs from the suite interface and it's "toolbar" which is actually a large tool-tip not a tool bar. Finding the Gizmo drive in all that...MESS was a pain. You have to add an icon to the "toolbar" to make it easy, but even that info is hard to find. After I got that far I just refused to deal with the pain of it any more. If you want something intuitive and easy to use try another program, try this if you want a complete suite of applications and no quick and easy way of getting it done. show Review details
