tray clock replacement Chameleon Clock is a powerful time synchronization tool that fully replaces a standard Windows tray clock ! It builds itself right into the taskbar and doesn t eat any desktop space . It allows you to adjust your computer time via Internet Atomic Time Servers automatically in a specified period or manually. The clock displays time/date in thousands of different ways using the popular Winamp "skin" format. An additional alarm feature allows you to create messages, open applications/documents, and shut down your PC at the specified time. Copyright

Bad performance issues 3 stars by BengalTigger Nov 20, 2007 (Read all my 8 reviews)
I love Chameleon Clock! Especially when combined with clock wallpaper. But, I began to notice my pc was performing sluggishly and found ChamClock.exe had extremely high page faults--the highest, with more than double the next highest app, and very high cpu usage--the third highest. I reported this 11/20 to SoftShape, but I must agree with the other reviewers comment that they don't seem to bother answering their mail. A previous note I sent them over a month ago as a registered purchaser remains unanswered. Overall, it is a very promising application. I encourage you to try it along with the above mentioned clock wallpapers just to experience it, but I must hold off on recommending it until they have fixed the performance issues. show Review details
Way too buggy! 2 stars by cyba_surfa Oct 12, 2005
This has the potential to be a great program but it's way too buggy! And don't expect any support, they never bother replying - even when you've forked out the money to register it. The clock is fine but don't rely on the alarms. One of the worst bugs is if you choose to be reminded X mains before an event, it will pop up so many windows (that can't be stopped) it crashes your machine. Another is if you don't notice or acknowledge an alarm (which might be important), not only does it close the alarm window after a few mains but the program quits altogether. I've been using it for 6 months now but finally gave up on it. I wish someone else would take it over and make it into a program worth having. How it got 5 stars from SnapFiles, I'll never know. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!! BTW, I'm not the only one who has had problems with it - I've read similar reviews on other download sites. show Review details
