I agree with the commentator who took this application to be perhaps too indiscriminate in its tidy-up. Thankfully I set a restore point. It quite thoroughly scrubbed my router details and somehow disabled the option in Control Panel to connect to a LAN. At least, there's something I must have missed in anticipating such complete scrubbing.
It would be unfair to condemn it entirely, but I've still to benefit from whatever improvements it's meant to accomplish.
This can become a very solid light notepad replacement once a few of its unreliable features are seen to. In my case, the left-hand side screen activation feature does not operate consistently. Sometimes it works; at others, it doesn't. Occasionally when Tinypad is started from a desktop icon, it will create an icon in the taskbar, but will not open on the desktop. Occasionally when the screen activation feature is otherwise functional, Tinypad will not display in the forescreen over an existing application; e.g., Firefox. I can't say whether my experiences have been had by others. So much depends on the way Tinypad behaves when other applications are running.
