Okay, I admit it...I don't always take the best care of my CDs. A lot of my CDs are quite scratched, and when I went to rip them, I found that iTunes often couldn't do the job. So I downloaded EAC and gave that a try--what a difference! EAC was able to rip almost all of my CDs perfectly. It is a bit slow, but the results are worth it.
This is a really fantastic program...it doesn't fix your spyware problems, it stops you from having them in the first place! In short, it focuses on prevention instead of removal by blocking dangerous sites (on both Internet Explorer and Firefox). Another aspect that I consider an advantage is the fact that it does not need to be running in the background to work. Simply open the program once a week, download the latest protection and you're good to go. And it's free!
I always hated waiting for Adobe to start up (it always took forever), so I was excited to try out Foxit since I heard it was faster. I was not disappointed! Foxit is much, much faster than Adobe and works just as well. And it's free! You can't beat that.
