Competent screen sharing program 4 stars by gwestbound Dec 12, 2011 (Read all my 17 reviews)
Crossloop is easy to set up and use and usually does a good job. Most sessions run flawlessly, but others are plagued with dropped connections. Don't know why. showShow review details
User friendly 4 stars by Shadow Jan 12, 2010 (Read all my 5 reviews)
I have tried a number of programs in this genre. Crossloop is the easiest to use, but lacks some of the features offered by others such as TeamViewer which is also free. showShow review details
Good free alternative 5 stars by Randman Oct 28, 2008
My sister is computer-retarded so I need to help her remotely with projects. We tried GoToMyPC for the trial period and it worked great, but we didn't want to spend the $15/month. I investigated alternatives and CrossLoop worked great too. The installation was error-free on both computers and the interface is simple for my sister. She just chooses to Share, calls me with her access code, I choose to Connect using her access code, then within a minute I can see her screen. The CrossLoop settings also allow you to change the image quality to Low for faster speeds, which I prefer. I've used it 5 times already with no errors. I'd recommend it to other computer techs that remotely support family or customers. showShow review details
This is a 4.5 to 5 star program. 5 stars by RickyF May 01, 2008 (Read all my 11 reviews)
I have used CrossLoop since it was in private beta. It is the best free remote desktop sharing and control program that I have used and better than many programs that cost the user. It is easy and quick to install and use, usually about 2 minutes. On occasion remote Vista desktops can create glitches for remote control but that is usually transitory. showShow review details
Great program 5 stars by joathome Jun 17, 2007
Thanks to the software team who gave us this excellent piece of freeware. The ease of use, convenience and simplicity make Cross Loop a pleasure to use. Would love to see file transfers in their future versions of this program. Thanks again, Cross Loop showShow review details
Very easy to use 5 stars by webguy Apr 15, 2007 (Read all my 2 reviews)
This is a simple and extremely easy to use for non-tech people. And works very well. Be nice if it had a file transferring thing built in but, even though it works well. Maybe in a future version they will include a file transferring program built in. Highly recommended.. Especially if you do work on other peoples computers like I do saves you a trip . showShow review details
Remote assistance made easy 5 stars by LJSWales Mar 18, 2007 (Read all my 11 reviews)
I currently use the free version of LogMeIn to help others out with their computer problems so I thought I would give this a go as it appeared on SnapFiles. It is easy to set up and it works very well. The documentation is good. Not much else to add but thanks to the developer(s) for the effort they have put in to make the a useful product. showShow review details
Similar to copilot but free! 5 stars by Automate Mar 15, 2007
I have been using copilot.com for remote control. Copilot is very similar to CrossLoop. Both are based on VNC technology but Copilot charges $5 for 24 hours of use. I hope CrossLoop keeps theirs free. It looks like they may start charging for premium features at some point. showShow review details
Easy share 5 stars by HZetzer Mar 15, 2007 (Read all my 23 reviews)
This is a front-end to VNC freeware, thereby making it far more user friendly. showShow review details
Great tool 5 stars by Cybermonk Mar 14, 2007 (Read all my 2 reviews)
As a freelance PC repairman, other RD solutions were to complicated for the customer, plus firewall configuration on top of that. This software makes it easier for me now, no more driving for hours for a simple fix. No configuration, simple installation. A+ showShow review details
Remote assistance through nat of firewalls 5 stars by Othni_Javier Mar 14, 2007 (Read all my 5 reviews)
Will function across NATs and firewalls on both sides without configuration! showShow review details
Simplicity itself 4 stars by Thezenarcher Mar 14, 2007 (Read all my 7 reviews)
CrossLoop is the simplest functional remote-control package out there. An absolute must-have for remotely assisting newbies and anyone who Just Wants You to Make It Work. If you can accept the limited functions (eg, currently no file xfer) and the need for the remote user to be present to establish a connection, CrossLoop just plain works. Very highly recommended for easy, basic remote control. showShow review details
