What was Microsoft thinking? 4 stars by wildgoosespeeder Dec 19, 2009 (Read all my 52 reviews)
What was Microsoft thinking putting the menu bar below the navigation bar? Good thing this tweak works! This works for Internet Explorer 8 as well as Internet Explorer 7. Yes this tweak has other toolbar problems but the toolbars that are out there are useless so no loss there. showShow review details

Perfect for those nervous editing registry 5 stars by justmeok Jun 15, 2008
So quick and easy! Downloaded in a second, installed seconds later, ran the program and ANNOYING IE7 menu bar problem gone :) Can't ask for more than that. Thanks so much to the creator of this little gem! showShow review details
Well... 3 stars by SamuraiHQ Dec 09, 2006
It does what it says on the tin... but like the other reviewer mentioned, it screws up any toolbars you have present. My Google toolbar is now directly below the command menu, with the address bar and tabs below that. Slightly more confusing, so I'll see if I have it another week. I must say however that I don't really use IE7 that much unless it's for updates, which I could still get using AutoPatcher mind you. My advice would be to download and install. If you like it fine, if not there IS an uninstall reg key in the file. If IE7 is not for you I highly recommend the most secure browser of all. Opera. They DO know what they're doing, trust me. showShow review details
I hate change 4 stars by pmgp51 Dec 02, 2006
I have become very familiar and comfortable, over the years, with IE toolbars. Why did they have to change such basic stuff! I just downloaded the IE7 Menu-on-Top Tweak, and IE is back to I like my toolbar! showShow review details

Does the job 4 stars by TorinDkflt Nov 11, 2006
As already said by many others, this quick fix does exactly what it says it'll do, puts the menu bar at the top of the IE window. Keep in mind, however, that if you have any extra toolbars, such as the Google toolbar, they too will be moved to the top of the screen above the address bar, which can be a slight annoyance for those used to having extra toolbars located beneath the address bar. But, if you don't have any extra toolbars, then this fix is perfect. showShow review details
Does exactly what it says 5 stars by Andy_K Nov 06, 2006
Regardless of whether or not you believe the menu bar is actually needed, the fact is that *IF* it is set to visible then it should obviously be at the top. That's exactly what this tweak does. You can still choose to turn it on or off at will, but when visible it no longer has that awkward 'out of place' look in the middle of the toolbars. Excellent. showShow review details
Excellent and very simple to use. 5 stars by ianmacm Oct 25, 2006 (Read all my 143 reviews)
For reasons best known to itself, Microsoft has decided not to have the menu bar at the top of the IE7 screen where it should be. What this registry tweak does is to add a dragging handle to the menu bar so that you can put it wherever you like. Maybe Microsoft will add this feature to a future version of IE7, but at the moment this simple tweak is the only way of doing it. showShow review details
A review of the actual product 5 stars by skidoodad Oct 24, 2006 (Read all my 5 reviews)
It works. Why someone would review their opinion of whether or not the tweak is necessary is like those conversations you have with people who are always hijacking the subject off to something else other than the topic at hand. I downloaded it, applied it, it works (and it's free!), therefore it gets my rating accordingly - not on whether or not I think you should subscribe to a religious argument. showShow review details
Pointless 2 stars by phoenixmike Oct 23, 2006 (Read all my 2 reviews)
It's a shame that someone has put in some hard work writing software that's not needed. As mentioned before, the Menu bar is made redundant by the options being available at the Toolbar Icons and therefore not needed, plus giving more workspace. showShow review details

How could MS overlook such a glaring flaw in the new IE? showShow review details
This corrects a design mistake! 5 stars by LAubin Oct 22, 2006 (Read all my 4 reviews)
This does just what it says it will. It corrects a minor but annoying designing mistake that has been bothering me since I installed IE7. It is simple yet so efficient. Bravo! showShow review details
Why go retro? 3 stars by chatrage Oct 22, 2006 (Read all my 5 reviews)
Everything in menu bar is already available w/o having to display menu bar, the idea was to have more screen space. This is something for those resistant to change rough times ahead when Vista debuts, good luck. showShow review details
