I can't speak for the Windows version as I have not used it, but the Mac version is the fastest video converter I've ever used and I've used a lot on both Windows and Mac.
Version Used: 5.0.0 (Mac)
Four months after purchase of 4.4 the company released a "major update" 5.0 with no in the
middle releases. If you look at their release
dates you'll notice how they skip along to
their advantage and not yours.
I purchased ConvertMovie 1.2 on Oct 26, 2005 on November 21st they released ConvertMovie 2.0 (25 days later) The company will not provide the update/upgrade without payment of an addition $20.00. I think their policy is one of the most unfair. Their only response has been for me to pay the additional fee if I would like 2.0... This is plain wrong..
I was trying to convert the asf files from my digicam. They play just fine in windows media player. I could find and add them to the list but this just produces video files that don't play. Bottom line, it doesn't work. Who knows what sort of files and registry values will be left over after I uninstall it.
