Great software 5 stars by TerryP Jun 18, 2010 (Read all my 80 reviews)
Although other tree mapping tools have more dazzling interfaces, they also tend to be bloated, to scan slowly, and are generally not as useful as SpaceMonger. This program is extremely fast, provides details about folder and file size instead of just showing bigger or smaller boxes, and allows users to easily make comparisons with a click of the mouse. It's also portable and a tiny download to boot. showShow review details
Best so far 5 stars by gimpguy Oct 25, 2008 (Read all my 1072 reviews)
While I was using another like this, I like SpaceMonger even better. It's not all blended together, easy to make heads or tails out of, little resources, FREE, can't beat it! It has plenty of options for display, nothing fancy but that's not what I wanted anyway. I wanted something that works well with a few decent options and that's exactly what I got. Great work on this! showShow review details
Simple, works great, stand alone and free .. 5 stars by TideWalker Oct 25, 2008 (Read all my 23 reviews)
SpaceMonger will show you where all that space went on your hard drive. Get it and put it in a folder and run it. It is as simple as that. There is no setup, it's a stand alone program. I put mine in c: oolboxspacemonger and put a shortcut in quick launch. Great free tool for the toolbox. Thanks to the author. A keeper! showShow review details
Not too stable, but really useful 4 stars by pepoluan Mar 02, 2008 (Read all my 23 reviews)
I used to wonder where all the space in my hard disk go. I've used folder-size-analyzing programs before (like TreeSize), but they all have one drawback: You can see the TOTAL size of a folder, but you don't know just WHAT inhabits them. With SpaceMonger, I can easily see big misplaced .iso files, folders within folders that are uncharacteristically big, and so on. Note, though: This program is rather unstable. Just using it for some time will make it crash. Using right-click operations several times will also make it crash. But the crash seems to be clean; if it crashes, I just restart it. Highly recommended (with a note of DON'T PANIC written with big, friendly letters ;) showShow review details
Small and simple 5 stars by miskairal Dec 02, 2006 (Read all my 29 reviews)
So easy to use and standalone as well. I can just cart it round on my USB drive and show friends why they have run out of room on their hard drives. This is one utility I would never be without. showShow review details
A must try... 5 stars by ledadu Aug 14, 2006
This software is wonderful... more useful than a pie chart! Just imagine you see your hard disk as a town from the sky. showShow review details
Like diskmapper but free-hundred times better 5 stars by rhairless Nov 02, 2005
Try it, you'll never take out the trash without it again. This program is very much like DiskMapper, minus a few features. The base functionality is all I ever wanted. I once read something about the phd that developed this way of presenting data. Highly recommended! showShow review details
