I find this great for chatting to my nieces on MSN and my son on Yahoo. Many years ago I had tried Trillian and another but they were nothing but trouble, not so with this. It worked first go. It doesn't provide you with all the bells and whistles of windows and yahoo messengers but it's great for my purposes. I found it easier to connect via instan-t to talk (audio) to a friend in America than using MSN or Yahoo and that's on dialup!! I'm not sure why it says you need the .NET framework as I don't have it (if I do then Microsoft must have downloaded it during an update b/c I've never installed it). showShow review details

I started to use instan-t after all the others were or too difficult and always crashed and did not works with ICQ. I had Miranda, it is not good, I had Trillion, Maxxim, and also phone gaim, with all of them i had problems, some of them did not let me login, others wanted that i have an affiliate, and gaim is always crashing and when I relogin i cannot find my accounts anymore and must again put in my accounts and buddy`s. Instan-t is working the best, looks nice, I can choose skins, and also use ICQ on it. The only problem is when typing in another language then English I cannot see it or they cannot see it, but it will be fixed in future newer versions. I recommend it, it is better then all the others out there. showShow review details
