Product marketing description as supplied by the developer:

StartWatch helps people who want to run multiple applications in a 24x7 environment, and do so in a manner that requires as little user intervention as possible. StartWatch performs two related functions. The first is to start a number of applications in a coordinated manner. The second is to monitor the applications that were started, and optionally, correct problems such as hung or crashed programs, or programs consuming too much memory or CPU time. All coordinated startup and port monitoring, as well as monitoring and restart of a single program are freeware. The monitor and restart feature for multiple programs is shareware and requires registration. A 30 day trial key can be obtained on request. StartWatch's coordinated startup allows programs to be started after a specified delay, after a specified TCP/IP port becomes available, or after another program has successfully started. The program is then monitored for potential problems. You can configure StartWatch to restart the program if it hangs, crashes, is inadvertently closed. You can also configure StartWatch to close and restart the program if it exceeds a memory use limit or begins hogging the CPU. If the start of the program is dependant on a TCP/IP port being available you can configure StartWatch to close the program if the port goes down, and restart it after the port comes backup.
