liteCam is a desktop recorder that allows you to capture video playback or desktop activity and save it as AVI file, using a codec of your choice. The program offers a window capture mode, a full-screen capture and a selection mode that enables you to select any area on your screen (e.g. the player area of a streaming movie). You can choose to include audio, adjust quality settings and also schedule a timed recording.
