The program not only highlights the line that contains the difference, but also the individual change, down to a single character. You can the selectively transfer changes from the left to the right or vice versa. Visual Comparer is primarily designed for web developers or programmers, and supports customizable syntax highlighting for the most popular scripting languages including C++, C#, JavaScript, Perl, Visual Basic, HTML, Perl, VBScript and Pascal (Delphi). The program can also generate HTML reports that visually demonstrate file differences - very handy if you need to publish the results.
