TIMP is a server/client Instant Messaging Platform for office LAN or Internet communication. Unlike most other IM solutions, TIMP integrates an Open IM Protocol (Jabber) with Active Directory / LDAP and SSL. Any Jabber compatible client can connect to TIMP (Linux, Java, Mac-OS, Palm, Pocket-PC, Web based client, etc). TIMP supports Jabber Open Protocol, XML, SOAP, XML-RPC and RSS. It also offers open APIs and a pluggable architecture that allows developers to write plugins that can extend the functionality. TIMP supports Jabber/NT authentication, so you can use the same user name you normally use. The program runs as an NT service. Currently, Timp does not support any file transfers. Pricing is based per user: TIMP is free for up to 5 concurrent users, and costs less than $20 per users (depending on the license pack).
