NIYoW - Name It Your Way
advanced file renaming
NIYoW (Name It Your Way) is a utility for mass renaming of files and folders. It allows you to perform simple renaming tasks, as well as advanced operations that can combine multiple renaming rules into a single process. The renaming options include prefix/suffix, case changing, incremental numbers, text replacements and much more. All renaming tasks can be previewed before they are applied, and also undone if you made a mistake. The program supports Regular Expressions, and can also generate ID3 tags from MP3 file names, save rule sets, use variables for file name generation (date, size, EXIF etc.) and use them as part of the file names. Additional features include renaming from the Windows Explorer right-click menu and command line support.
