I was playing around with the order of the icons in my Quicklaunch bar the other day and suddenly thought - "why can't I move around the icons for open programs on my taskbar too"? I headed straight over to snapfiles.com to find a free program to overcome this shortcoming in XP and lo and behold discovered XNeat. As well as being able to move open programs in the taskbar, the other features are excellent and very easy to control through right-click shell integration. I am now thoroughly addicted to a 30% opaque taskbar that solidifies on hover. All for a process that uses only 500kb of RAM. Excellent programming.

Yes it's one of those little utilities that mean so much. I have used it for over a month now with only great results - always working - never failing or causing problems. It does what it says it does and that is all. Others do too little, but most try to do too much. This one is just right - enough features to make it useful - not overloaded with features that try to take over and leave you confused or frustrated, while using up copious resources. Make your life easier and more efficient, install now.

I had no problem installing or registering the program under Windows XP, and I like its features. However, it was using more than 20Mb of memory. ... But it's worth a look, since it definitely improves the Windows experience.

Program is useful and works fine, but registration process is hopeless. Program failed to register and was asking to download new version even if I already had the newest version. I removed it just because of failed registration.

This one really improves the interface of Windows XP. It comes in handy so often, you'll actually miss it when working on someone else's computer. XNeat allows you to rearrange items on your taskbar, but it also allows for some cool features. For instance, send an item to the tray to get it out of your way, or to hide it from the view of others. Uncheck the "stay on top" box for the "Windows Updated, Please Restart" window, and you won't see it again! Very useful application.

Works very well, only complaint is that you have to be online when you run it the first time so it can download a license, after that it is fine-uninstalls cleanly but the term of the license is not known, may expire?

I have been searching for a "Stay On Top" utility program and now I finally found it. This is a great program. I have one problem with the ease of use of it, once you hide a program, you have to go through a few nested choices to make it reappear. It should be simpler. Thanks to the developer for a nice FREE program.
