Tried this as an alternative to Movie Maker (free with Windows XP SP2). As far as I can tell, this adds almost no functionality, except a handful of predefined templates to stylize your video. Editing controls are non-existent, and as far as the style templates are concerned, there are essentially no options! This software is apparently intended for individuals that have absolutely no ability/interest to edit their movies, but I really don't find it any easier than Movie Maker. To be fair, I only used the trial (and for about 15 minutes; that's about all the time you need to explore all it's features - or lack thereof). I was using four < 1 MB clips to test it, and I was amazed how bogged down it got with such tiny clips! It wastes resources unnecessarily, for example, everytime you select a template, it plays a preview which takes about 5-10 seconds. I wish I could offer one positive feature, but it doesn't have one.

Works as advertised, but it's way too expensive to recommend.

I have been using muvee autoProducer since version 1 and it does a nice job for what it claims. But there are many "gotchas" with the application. For a variety of Styles, the end user must purchase 'Style Packs' and the documentation is decent ... But the FAQ and Help system is lacking. Technical Support is almost non-existent for paying end users. There is little more a user can do with muvee autoProducer than can already be found in Microsoft's Movie Maker 2 application, which is free, save for the ability to mash up video with different styles. It is nicely laid out and easy to use, but be prepared to see the application to crash a lot. Unless there is a radical change with their company, I don't really expect to see the company in business much longer. A shame too, because the potential is there for this to be an excellent piece of software. I just can't see recommending it.
