I can honestly say this is a refreshing type of desktop wallpaper changer. I gave it a 5 rating. It's very cool how the textures change with basis of the picture, color wise and other. It's very fast changing the walls, has many options, like the calendar, very cool. I think it's far from finished and hope to see some features eventually like changing the textures separately along with color choices, transparency on the calendar, etc... I am an extensive Gimp user and make most my own textures, icons and anything else, however, it's very nice to have something like this that simply changes the scene for you. Just very simple to use and looks great, works fast. Gotta try this!

Every now and then you come across a piece of Freeware that really is good, and this is one. I've been playing around with the extensive range of adjustable settings and am, frankly, stunned. The multiple, and selectable, month calendars are an excellent feature as is the ability to move the wallpaper image around your screen, and alter its size so that your icons are not merged into the background. Just on that point, I also am impressed by the programs ability to so closely tonally match the background to the general tone of the image being displayed, and which changes with every wallpaper change. Additionally the automatic (if you want it) making the background of the icon wording transparent is a nice touch. All in all I'm very impressed and recommend the program to anyone wanting a good, tweakable, wallpaper manager.

There is so much free stuff out there now, and a lot of the time you read the description and realize that it isn't worth the space on your hard drive. But I was getting tired or manually changing my desktop so I looked very carefully for some software that would do it for me. I never thought that some clever person would have taken that simple idea and produced a 'changer' with some useful extras as well. I didn't find it hard to set up the program and with some excellent pictures that I have accumulated over the years, I now have a desktop that is not just good to look at, but tidy, and with the added extra of the calendar feature that I personally find very useful. I'm very satisfied and recommend MuralPix without hesitation! I don't think that I will be looking for another utility of this type!

Relatively small footprint, easy on system resources, very stable and easy to use on the default settings. Basically this takes any wallpaper and frames it in an corresponding pattern, color, etc. Even an unattractive wallpaper will look good using this. As a changer it is superb with many options.

After setting, all you need to do is paste your picture to the folder and enjoy it. But too much setting make me confused.

I have tried a few changers over the years, including what I thought was the best, Webshots. I finally got to this from another changer(won't say which one)and well, what can I say it is excellent! After install I just went through the folder this app is using.(80mb)and the number of times I just went WOW! So, do yourself a favor download this, be patient and get used to the "old fashioned" settings layout, use the frame and calendar options....you will not regret it.

Better than ... I have not had any problem YET. Interface was unclear, old-looking style, but after little bit concentration I survived through finding right options.

This is a very nice little program. It is stable on Win XP. Has an attractive layout. You can add you own pictures and it has a calendar option as part of it's Desktop Wallpaper capability. My only complaint is the option section is not laid out well, but if you are looking for a nice change from Webshots I would recommend this program.

This is a very nice program, it does exactly what it says without problems or adware/spyware, although it might be a bit confusing for a novice because all of the options and the unconventional way to setting them, but it's a great program and worth a try.

I like it somewhat but way too many settings for me-should also have an option to display landscape images at full screen. [Editor: You can run full-screen wallpapers, just disable the frame option and set margins to 0]
