Like others, it's not for me and maybe good for someone else. It is very feature rich and loads very quickly. I couldn't import any email settings, etc... , OE, Outlook, or Livemail, don't know why, stated it didn't exist when I know they do, I have all 3. With some time, I'm sure I could figure it out. If you are looking for a very handy email handler, this is it. It's not pretty but works like a charm.

This program is lightweight, starts very fast, supports unicode and has a complete set of features. The author offers great and instant tech support and the program keeps evolving rapidly.

The version that I am running is 1.86 and it works great. Read carefully and setup your options carefully the first time you run the program and you can keep your email on the server if you want to and reply and send. It seems very efficient and its not bloatware. You can even import address books and emails from some other email programs.

As conductor said.. "No SMTP authentication" and "broken node" errors kept appearing randomly so it wasn't suitable for me using on my usb drive. The mail preview was good but sadly the program was useless without being able to send mail. Some may find this works for them but I struck out. I think i'll try Thunderbird.

I found this a capable little program. It does a fine job of what it is suppose to do. Is it for everyone no! For me I will need the paid version so I can have more than one account. As for any program of this type you should go to the properties page and tell the program to leave a copy of your messages on the server just in case you do not like the program or it does not work for you this way you can use your old program to go and get your mail. Also as far as not having an uninstall, none is needed the designer states if you used the zip version. Just delete the folder the program was extracted to. This is mentioned in the help file.

At first i.scribe seemed good because the interface was nice and there's no installation. Then I found out there's no SMTP authentication (Only ESMTP authentication)! So I can't send mail, and I unfortunately already downloaded my mail to i.scribe before I learned this. Then, about a week later, a popup box appears on my screen from i.scribe saying there's a broken node and I must kill the program. I wasn't even using i.scribe when this happened. The next time I downloaded my mail, BAM! all my mail is GONE, and i.scribe is toast. I'm even getting Storage2 Errors popping up from i.scribe as I write this. And now, I don't know which files to remove, and there's no uninstall package.

Actually I have tried iScribe first some eight months back and was not impressed much. Now the developer of this email program has come with a lot of good changes and when I tried recently I felt I have got the right program for managing my emails. The program is so simply designed with small size around 1 MB after unzip but yet have attractive look and excellent features and can be had in a USB disk. The unique features of this program are deleting attachments in a email or folder, adding contacts address from a folder, new mail notification and preview which are all impressive. Apart it has the much needed spam filter too. It still have very minor bugs but the developer seems to update all one by one but in a fast way. I would highly recommend this to all. Worth to use it.

It's a shame that there are so many programs email programs out there that "over do it" with useless, confusing features like animation, sound effects and tons of unused options like built in scripting. I like i.scribe because it gives you EXACTLY what you need without useless crap. It's a snap to setup if you ever used other email programs. Yet you don't have to install it. It doesn't use the registry and it puts all your email in one file! You can easily share the file over a network drive so you can access your email from more than one computer. Something that seems to be unnecessarily difficult in a lot of email programs I've used. It will also let you export your email to simple standard text files. I've been looking for a program like this for a long time. Kudos to the programmer who wrote this. This program proves that a simple design is just better.
