This program does exactly as it says! It is simple to use and if you have to reinstall, it is a life saver. I have backed up drivers on every computer that comes across my work bench. Word of advice, re-run it every so often to catch any new drivers you may have added.

Does exactly what it says and does it simply and well. Backs up the drivers that are needed for the operating system along some non system ones. As an example; backed up with drivermax, performed a system format, reinstalled xp. Then reinstalled the drivers using drivermax and all important drivers were installed with no issues. This program did what others I have tried could not do well. That is to say easily, seamlessly and with no problems or confusion!

Thanks to this incredible program I am able to install windows XP without using the full restoration cd provided with my computer. All I had to do was back up my current drivers using DriverMax then reinstall windows, and reinstall the drivers using DriverMax. Everything worked like a charm, and all drivers were installed successfully. Now I have a Minimal install of XP without all of the preinstalled software that came with the pc, such as trial versions of MS Office, Mcafee Internet Security, and that ever so hard to remove AOL installation. Drivermax, saved me a lot of time reinstalling windows, and now that I don't have all of the preloaded applications, it saves me nearly 1 gig of drive space. Also, my 9in1 media card reader drivers, and my Nvidia gForce 6100 networking controller drivers, are unavailable on the internet, but thanks to DriverMax, I have these drivers burned onto a cd. Thanks to the Author, you have been a BIG help.

I downloaded and tried this program and it backed up and zipped all my drivers very quickly. It has a very clean and easy to use interface. As the previous interviewer mentioned, it's not as critical a utility for those using WinXP, but it's nice to know my drivers are backed up. This utility should be handy for those using Pre-WinXP systems. I asked for a registration code and received it in about 10 minutes, although the Web site indicated it could take up to 48 hours.

I had a program that was very similar to this a few years ago. I thought it was the best thing since pizza, but i never used it. I downloaded this one to check it out, it backed up all drivers to a zip file for me in under a minute. I would think this could be great for someone using win98 or some other pain in the a** OS. The only thing I find odd is that when you run it, it gives you 30 days to get your free registration code while you are in trial mode. I don't know about the rest of you out there, but I can install an OS in less than 30 days, and besides, the registry would be clean on the new OS installation, so your 30 days would renew. Unless it requires the registration code in order to reinstall the drivers, which I did not try.
