I think this is a very awesome idea. I liked putting my own background and have a couple of picture places that change with family photos, VERY cool! This is a great idea. The only problem I have is that "especially if you are new to it" it auto saves when you apply to see it, etc.. which you may end up with 6 versions that change on the desktop you didn't want. I think it should have a solid save feature, one way to save and that's it. It's not a real big issue though, you simply remove the ones you don't want. Hint to developers, "if not already in place" how about video clips? The ability to portray a video clip in a layout would be great.
