Surprising
Tiny footprint, light to medium system resource usage and very stable. First of all Boclean uses part signatures and part behavioral analysis for its detection method. I found that if I never updated the signatures it still protected. I performed extensive testing on Boclean against a variety of malware along with testing against other well known very good antispyware applications. To my surprise Boclean stopped all malware dead in their tracks prior to executing! Also it beat out or equaled the other applications. But it outstanding feature is the way it halted and eliminated intrusions!

A good adjunct in fighting spyware
Once this product receives further development from Comodo, I expect it will be easy to use AND a good performer. I am using this as part of a self-built freeware suite of antivirus, antispyware, and firewall tools. BOClean resides in the background alongside other realtime tools without conflicting with them, and catch threats other realtime tools miss. While it has an overly simple interface accessible only from the system tray icon, and offers limited configuration options, it puts in excellent performance in blocking spyware infections, versus removing an infection after its taken root. While I would not use this as my only realtime protection, the fact that it does not conflict with the other realtime spyware protection I'm using means I don't have to rely only on one product.

Good for certain types of users
Ok, the first thing I think of here is why they call it BO clean, kind of funny. But on to the review. I have it installed right now for testing, I am always looking for apps like this to install on peoples pc's who come to me with virus/malware infections by the hundreds. This one is great for your general adult user who is not real computer savvy. But for teens who like to hit the p2p apps and the crack sites, I would recommed something a little more thorough like syware terminator. This one currently has a list of 34285 baddies it protects against, which is pretty good to cover the usuals that people tend to end up with. Cons I've noticed, footprint on system resource is huge, slow the pc down considerably. And during the initial installation it asks "have you installed a previous version or is this the first time" then has a yes or no button. Huh? Which question am I answering? That is minor, but does reflect on the quality of the product.
