I have tried about every program in the cataloging section and I always go back to CdTree as it does exactly what I need. i.e. a list of all my dvd's and cd's, the detail of the content and the size. As for the nagging, it is a bit annoying at the beginning but once you have ticked the "do not show that screen again" you are not bothered anymore.

I am using cdTree for a year an it helps me get to know where is that song, video or lecture,in couple of seconds. Without this soft i couldn't find anything in my DVDs. P.S. I heard that new version is coming.

Scanning one folder of my hard drive with cdTree, I received no less than four NAG interruptions. Things got worse when I tried to export to HTML. The nagging is relentless. cdTree ran more slowly on my PC (XP SP2) than the other two snapfiles freeware downloads I tried. And the other two freeware products provided extra features free of charge available only in the paid version of cdTree. I agree with the first reviewer of cdTree. If you want fast and accurate cataloging of your CDs, with export options, reading/reporting of compressed archive contents, jpg thumbnails, and other good features, you can do much better with other Snapfile offerings. (I thought we were not supposed to name names of other applications, but I agree with the first reviewer's opinion, even though the reviewer did not select my personal favorite of catalog aps.) Considering the better options in freeware, I'm going to uninstall cdTree. It's freeware I would rate as too expensive. RamirLopez

The program acts good to a point. After that point it locks up your computer and says "Not Responding"! I X'ed out of it just as it came back with the list of files. It also has a LOT of Nag Screens. Like "Please Register" and/or "please consider upgrading to the Pro version". A Good Author that has a Good Program don't have to Nag their future customers to Buy, Buy, Buy their product as they know what it is worth and let the Customers made up their own mind. This is NOT for me!! Flash32 AKA FileFlash...Cathy is Much Better altho it doesn't look as good it isn't full of Bugs!
