Almost perfect
Perfect for getting pics from your camera to your computer. The only bug I found is where it reverts to the default directory naming convention, meaning I have to adjust this every time I download pictures. Other than that, a fantastic piece of freeware.

You don't get what you don't pay for
The freeware version is a lightweight version of cam2pc. It does not contain most of the features that the Shareware Edition has but still is a very good simple image browser, viewer and downloader for free!

Needs more camera support
I have a handful of cameras and this works with the canons, but not the aiptek usb pencam. like the other reviewer below, I'll give it a wider audience when all my cameras are supported.

Can't believe I overlooked this one
I tried Cam2PC for the first time and I'm impressed. Don't be misled by the name, this program can be used for all your graphic files. Also, unlike some photo viewers, Cam2PC allows you to easily batch resize your photos.

Great image solution
I have been using this application for a few years. I especially like the EXIF data editor. This will be all you need, and is ideal if you are new to digital photography.

Excellent
I just bought a new computer and didn't even bother installing my canon software. Cam2pc is much more efficient, much less bloated, much simpler, and does a much better job. This program simply cannot be beat for the price (free).

Very useable.......only gripe.....
Minor gripe: It will not harvest/collect my photos from my Aiptek-Videoman-usb-pencam.... ...when the author fixes this glitch. ..then I'll give it 5/5.

Cam2pc - a "must-have" for digital pics
After wasting literally months of time and hours of frustration with the software that came with my Kodak CX4300, I went looking for something better. Cam2PC to the rescue. This program outshines my OEM software by a TON. Most of my picture taking is done with a film camera but as I get more comfortable with digital photography and upgrade to a more sophisticated camera, I'll be using the "full" version of Cam2PC. If you are a digital camera user you should have Cam2PC. The price is certainly right - Get it !!

Early versions were better
I loved the early versions of this program. Simple and easy. I was never able to figure out this new one(I honestly did not spend a lot of time). I'm sure it is fine but I prefer something a little less complicated. One thing I really do like is the auto disconnect feature which is very important for xp users. If you unplug your camera improperly after downloading the photos you can damage the media card.

Better than good
The software that came with the camera continually crashed my computer. I decided to try this software, and to my astonishment cam2pc worked flawlessly. Easy to set up and use. There is a shareware version also available from their website, and I may just buy it. Very nice work.

Very good!
Once I had configured cam2pc to do what I wanted it to do (automatically download, rename and store photos according to date) it became one of those how-did-I-manage-without-it programs. Definitely much better than the software that was bundled with my camera, and it integrated well with my existing image editing software .
