Zone Alarm is no longer supporting Win 98, which I am still using on an older laptop. I was looking for a good freeware firewall to replace it. Many of the freeware firewalls do not support Win98, and the ones I tried did not offer updates. NetVeda (so far) has really fit the bill. It was easy to configure and has made me feel secure even with my older OS. If you have kids, it also offers what appears to be a comprehensive filtering system that you can set to your preferences.

I have tried many "note taking" programs: sticky notes, organizers, etc. This program is amazing in that it fires up in an instant and gives you a great deal of flexibility in organizing your info. It's small and free and well worth a try. I'm very glad I did because I have already used it more than most of my other programs.
