Just an awesome pdf viewer
PDF-XChange Viewer version 2.036
I originally gave this a low rating because of the memory leak. This appears to have been corrected. This is just an awesome program. Nice interface, awesome advanced search capabilities. My only fear is loosing the freeware status and seeing this go commercial only. Hang onto a freeware version.

Nice looking product but falls short
MSGTAG version 1.4.5
What I like - this program has a status panel that lets you track all the message that have been sent. If the message was received it shows when and the elapsed time. It seriously lacks any kind of a search feature when the list gets long. The configuration and setup are easy enough but inexperienced users will have trouble if the setup fails to properly configure. There is no voice support, but email support is fair. What I don't like - it really doesn't work. Emails sent to gmail, yahoo, hotmail and most others block the image download from MsgTag servers so you never know if they read the email or not. I'm only seeing about 15% of mails verified, not the 70% they claim on their site. I've sent 400-500 emails. If it weren't for the status panel this software wouldn't be worth any amount of money. Others work much better, but don't have the nice Status panel (i.e. log)

Didn't free up memory
AnalogX MaxMem version 1.01
This program is small and easy to use, but after using it for seveal days, it failed to free up any memory on my machine. Result was the same when running it manually.

Slick, lean and sexy
Folder Guide version 1.1
This is a neat utility - a big thanks to the authors. It is fast, small, efficient and easy. The way software should be written. I have downloaded hundreds of utilities and only kept 4 or 5. This is a keeper. Easily lets you add new directories and then easily move to them later, from about anywhere. I especially like being able to move around in the "Save as" dialog box. This is a gem!

My search stopped here
FastStone Image Viewer version 2.5
This is just an amazing piece of software. Can not believe it is free. Loaded with advanced features. The interface is outstanding and one of the most intuitive I've seen in years. Features available while in full screen mode are awesome. I also think the screen capture is better than most. Really a fun application.

Basic viewer with basic features
Vallen Jpegger version 4.81
Think the reviews for this are over hyped this. Really lacks the features of other popular viewers. Spent about 2 hours reviewing this along side XnView and FastStone Image Viewer. Both beat this hands down, and FastStone beats them all. Don't even find the Copy/Move/Delete feature all that useful. Can do the same thing with Explorer.

Nearly most valuable software i own
Copernic Desktop Search version 1.63
With the exception of Excel, this is most valuable software I own. Working for a large company we have a lot of data to track. This does the job, and across networks also. No limits on index size, speed is excellent and recent releases are extremely stable. I have over 20K documents and 2M words index. Tried Yahoo and Google but dumped them both after 30 minutes. Great product. My only request would be the ability to have a history of previous search configurations. Just a clean, fast product with better support than most commercial products. I've actually got a call from Tech support over a previous issue. That was a first for me.

Not to flashy but works
DeepBurner version 1.7
Have used this to burn CD and DVD disks without any problems. Not the flashiest software interface but it sure seems to work good. This software worked where others failed...

Very effective, very reliable
SpamBayes version 1.04
This is an excellent spam blocking tool. I've been using it 2 years now and have absolutely zero problems in the last year. This tool efficiently blocks around 200-300 spams a week, and leaves me with an average of 5 suspects weekly that I need to check. So easy to use, fully integrated into Outlook. Highly recommended.

Failed to connect to any time servers
Keynote version 1.6.5
I installed this on a new loaded XP machine. I tried 15-20 different time servers from all over the world but this failed to connect to any of them even though my internet browser works fine.

Sloooow, and failed to work
CDBurnerXP version 3.0.116
Nice tool, good interface but this software was very, very slow, and the end result was it kept error out right at the end of the burn cycle. To bad, it could be a nice package if it worked.

Poor program, poor support
Registry First Aid version 3.2.1.398
Program doesn't deliver on promise. Didn't fix registry on several machines having register troubles. Also, have to go through manual mail in form to get money back. Many programs are better.

Works but cpu and memory hog
Avant Browser version 10.0 Build 35
This browser is nice enough, but there are several things that are a problem. First, the program is a memory hog (38MB)compared to IE (19MB) or Maxthon, my browser of choice (24MB). Also, the mouse gestures are not sensitive enough. Maxthon is much better at this. I really like the quick buttons to disable popups, flash and pictures. Want a more complete tabbed browser, use Maxthon. Avant also hogged more CPU resources than any other application I had on my system. I wasn't particularly fond of the browsing performance either. Certainly not at par with IE or Maxthon. That said, this is much better than Firefox.

Fails to remove some gator and coolwww
Spybot - S&D version 1.3
This is mostly some software for the price. It failed to remove variants of Gator and CoolWWW after repeated attempts. Biggest concern was speed. The main search is slow, but the search before full boot is extremely slow. It would be much better if the boot scan only tried to remove malware it found in the previous system scan. Purchased Spy Sweeper 3.5. Works much better, and I like it so far.

Can't imaging browsing without it
Maxthon version 1.1.090
I've been using this for a year now. This has so many neat features they can't all be listed. Popup blocker, Ad blocker, mouse gestures (very cool), save tab groups (excellent for shopping or research), Search highlighting. So much more. I've tried the new Firefox - unloaded it the same day. Firefox will take years to catch up to this tabbed browser. I've tried 4 or 5 other browsers. This is tops. Crashes about once a week. For all the features I get, I can easily live with this. One of my most prized pieces of software. Can't even use IE anymore. Don't be fooled, just because this is based on the IE engine. It is nothing like IE.
