A great program with a huge bug

This program is great. FirstPage 2006 is what should be expected after FirstPage 2000. But there is a huge bug, reported by many-many-many people on Evrsoft website: typing is very slow, whatever settings you choose. I am wondering also if it will take many years till they will fix this? Otherwise, is a GREAT program!

... especially when you feel shame when other ask you: what computer do you have? I never knew to answer the exact specification of my laptop, but this tool is really great! Now I know everything about my computer :))

Well, the screen capture is very old. The program looks much better and I use it daily for over one year. I do 10-15 websites, and after I modify something on my harddisk, I have to do one click, and SitePublisher will upload only what I modify locally. Before that, I had to remember what files I had modified. So, SitePublisher gains for me tens of minutes per day! [Editor: We have updated the screen capture]

You get used!

Well, after a while you get used with this tool! Once you used Firefox' way of searching in page, you dream to extend this in other applications. And while I drop using Firefox (back to Maxthon) I enjoy this way for quick search when surfing the web, in MS Word, in Outlook Express... It's GREAT! Small idea. Great idea.

I use it for many, many months. But I get tired of it, because sometime, after a crash of my computer (XP), all settings in PS Hot Launch VVL get lost. There is no way (not even using registry) to save the folders and links you defined... Too bad... Every time I had to start again to rebuild my menu. In the end I drop using this software... Maybe future version will add a "Save/Load current configuration"... than I will choose it again. Is really great except this issue.

This software is a introduction for the commercial XP-Web-Buttons. Still, this free version is good if you don't want to buy the commercial version. You have only a small set of buttons, you have to do one-button-at-a-time... I think in the end users of the free version will get tired and buy the commercial version. But this is the idea, no? To make you buy the full version... I hope someday someone will make a free&cool program as XP-Web-Buttons.

Yep, as the previous user said, the CD unit is not recognized, on my computer also. And I have a new laptop, not an old CD unit... This latest release did not solve this problem. Maybe the future version will have a bigger database of CD units.

It eat too much space

The program is great - at least its idea. I already enjoy to search on my computer as I search on the Internet. But the only problem is that the Desktop Search is still indexing my computer - after too many hours -, and already eat over 500MB. So, if it will continue till 1Giga, I am wondering if the cost is not too much...

I cannot say more: it's great! I think it have the chance, in future, to became an excellent replace for the classic Irfan View. I admire the imagination of the author(s) of this software! Now I am sure, everyone will copy FastStone Image Viewer and say "why did'nt I think for those facilities before?"

I use it for months and it's great. I like that the software is often updated, so almost each month it gain more great options. So it's not a dead software.
