I've looked at many textual database apps over the years and nothing comes close to keynote. It's one of the few apps I use everyday. This isn't a program that was written on a whim by the author. It's clear that he sat down for a while and clearly thought out every detail of what a perfect information manager should be (from category tabs on top, tree mode within categories, portable/usb friendly command-line options, graphics support, search facilities and more). The only downside... there's no support for other Operating Systems outside of Windows. I hope the Open Source project is picked up and moved forward to address this issue.

This program does exactly what it advertises it does. All other similar apps required that you click on a folder name (forcing you to move up one directory level) - which limited the effectiveness of these extensions. Installation was quick and includes a readme file plus an uninstall routine (which also appears in the ControlPanel - Add/Remove section). After installation, you'll immediately see the new MenuItem (reboot not required). Testing and working perfectly on XP Pro.

Although not highly rated by Snapfile, I have a different take on this browser. I rated it highly because I think it excels at the market it's aimed for - young children. Children who are more comfortable with images and simple clicking than extensive reading or writing. - In fact, I would go as far as to say that this browser (with a few additional tweaks) would also do well for the eternally technically challenged. - I've run it a few times and I think it would make a great browser for my brother-in-law and a few other individuals who are overwhelmed by current browser interfaces. - The ability to add your own sites, password protect (on exit) and create different users are nice touches. - With a few additional tweaks (lock certain keyboard keys, add organizational tabs for older newbies (games, office, etc), access to local apps) - this would make a great Cloud-based browser on netbooks for simple UI building. Great for kids, could be great for some adults.
