Good but not so good
Lunascape version 5.1.4
I use Vista Ultimate 64 bit and I use IE7, not extremely happy with it but IE does render where I go correctly. On the down side of IE I have to constantly monitor and delete. Lunascape is noticeably slow and my 3rd party pop up blocker (Ad Muncher) does not work so I see ads all over the place, not good. I'm not thrilled with FF and even less thrilled with Googles Browser, I like Opera but I have problems on some web sites. as for IE add ons Maxthon does well but do not use it as with a few settings IE does as well. If Lunascape addresses my 2 main concerns I believe I would switch as it does offer a great deal

Small file great features
Vopt version 8.18
I've been using Vopt for over 3 years. When ever I have had a issue, it was address in short order. Vopt does more than just defrag, oh yes did I mention it performs the defrag quickly. PerfectDisk and Diskeeper have a better interface but when it come to it's main chore it's 2rd to know one

Used this for years
System Suite Professional version 8.0
This is a great software utility. I have tried System Mechanic, Advanced Uninstaller and SystemSuite in my humble opinion Stands way atop them. The registry cleaner is 2nd to none and the hard drive cleanup tolls isn't far behind. This new version has a few new tools (Services)that's really a nice touch. The suite is a bit pricey but most suite don't have a hard drive defrag. You can also work with zip files. It also comes with a firewall and anti virus....so allot of good things come with this suite.

Best of the best
Ad Muncher version 4.71
I've tried most other ad Blockers and none come close to this. It's not updated a great deal and when a new version comes along I'm updated. I spent more for it than the others but it has been money well spent. I've been using it for years and it just works.

Where has this been hiding?
Deepnet Explorer version 1.5.2 beta
Where has this been hiding. I've used just about all the other browsers, most the IE Clones have security problems @ some sites I go, Firefox and Opera do not, I like Opera better and even though many folks discuss which is faster, Test I seen have shown Opera is overall #1. Firefox with it's extensions starts to get bloated. Opera has problems displaying some sites properly. Deepnet is a IE Shell such as Avant, Green Browser, Mathon, and Slim Browser but compared to the others that's where it ends. It is faster than IE, slower than Opera, Displays pages properly but is by far more secure, as a added bonus the popup blocker is great. I downloaded the latest version 1.5.3b3 and on my os(XP) it works.

I use this
nCleaner version 2.2
Now it's free but When I first tried nCleaner it was shareware. I liked it so well I paid for it. I just downloaded v2.2 and each version just gets better and better. Whenever I had a problem and contacted support the problem was addressed and corrected. This program is a gem, Better than ... ( All of which I paid for)....Your choice, I made mine.

Confusing
EverNote version 1.5.0.207b Basic
Maybe it's just me. The program on its face seems great.....but when a category is created and a note is placed in this category it ends up in another area along with other notes of different types. Didn't work for me

EraseTemp version 3.2.3.1
Doesn't appear there is any control and it deleted files that it should not have. If you use this be very careful and make sure you have your system backed up

Good buuutttt..........
GreenBrowser version 3.02
I have used Green Browser for years. Liked it so well I bought a copy...which really has been a great deal as I have gotten all upgrades for free. I know that it can also be had for free but I have always felt the that we all need to eat, at least every once in awhile. I'm not very big on Firefox/opera, I know that IE has security problems but most IE shells if you do a bit of work can address that problem. I recently changed to AM Browser (Crazy Browsers) of which I used to use Until I found GB. My big beef with GB at the moment is the popup blocker. Some sites I visit popup completely different web sites which GB has had problems with. I can add them to a list but it's not caught until the page loads which sometimes is a bummer. Also it seems that with every new release the browser keeps getting larger not that it's all that large (817KB), AM Browser comes in at 673KB, stops popups cold and IE's problems can be addresses.

I like it
subpad version 1.0.1
I must dissagree with Tony K a bit. I had little problems setting this gem up, has a very small footprint does what notepad does and a bit more. I have used this program for awhile and it suites my needs. I use it for small notes and to read nfo files, more than that I use my word processor.

Others are better
Shellzip version 2.3
Thought I give this program a shot. Wasn't real happy with it. 2 things really bugged me. One was it could not extract some files to a folder, but it would open the file in the program and you could access the files there. What a pain. The other is every once in awhile a compressed file had to be re-associated, again a pain. There are much better zip programs than this. I will say they got a good base to work from.
