I`ve had a serious problem when changing the size of some partitions. One of them - with all my personal data on it - couldn't be restored afterwards. GetDataBack for NTFS helped me a lot. It was the only program I've tested that was able to restore not only the content of all files, but the correct filenames as well. Within one hour it scanned the whole hard drive of 120 GB for all its structure, data and lost files. As result it showed me a 'tree' of all the lost data, like in the Windows Explorer. Everything has been there, nothing has been missing. I was prompted to mark all the data I wished to save and make the program copy it to a 'healthy' partition. Thanks to GetDataBack for NTFS I've got all my lost data back, with no single error! Unfortunately, you have to decide which version you want to buy: one version is for NTFS partitions, the other one for FAT partitions.

A great program! I've been testing free Avast! Home Edition for over a year now and it's just great! I've never had any problem with a virus since then - all my mails are cleaned in a smooth and reliable way. And Avast! gets better with every new release - and they come quite often! Newest feature is a web shield... I wonder what they bring next!? Thank you very much to the folks at Alwil Software for giving this excellent program for absolutely free! And thank you snapfile-community for giving the platform!

Easy and powerful

This program is very easy to use (like Window's open and close dialogs)! And it works fast and in a reliable way (it never produced any problems so far with my computer)! Converting and CD-ripping features are very useful! I especially like the possibility to download CDDB-information directly from the Internet! I would highly recommend the program! One negative aspect: CD-ripping isn't possible with numbering the tracks (i.e. 01, 02, 03, etc.)

AntiVirPE is an easy to use anti-virus tool which helped me a lot during the last year! It is said not to have the most beautiful interface; may be, but it is fast, doesn't slow down your performance at all and is very good in detecting all sorts of viruses. Updates come about every other day - so you are always safe. And by the way: the virus information provided on their web-page is very helpful. Use AntiVir to scan your drives and give it a chance!
