I have tried many others but . . .
NexusFont version 2.0 RC1
This one is the best font manager I have found! I edited and produced a newsletter for a fraternal organization for four years. I used many fonts for different things in that time and I wish I'd had NexusFont then. I have over 3000 fonts available for use and NexusFont is a whiz at finding them, installing them and removing them as needed. Many thanks to Junghoon Noh for developing a great piece of software and offering it to the font freaks among us. Highly recommended!!

Ok for most, i guess - but not me
FastStone Image Viewer version 3.4
On my system, at least, I have found FastStone to be very sluggish and clunky. According to its SnapFiles score it obviously works for many others but . . . not for me.

Darn near perfect
PhotoFiltre version 6.2.7
About all that is missing from this software is the ability to download pics from your digital camera. (Maybe I am missing something here, but I don't think so.) If this software could download your pics from the major camera manufacturers available today (Kodak, Canon, etc.) this FREE software would be nearly PERFECT! I haven't found anything, as an amateur digital photographer, that this software WON'T do. In time (ha-ha), maybe I will become more sophisticated than PhotoFiltre but I doubt it. Until PhotoFiltre becomes dumber than I am - I recommend it to anyone and everyone who wants to "play" with, improve or change their digital photos. For the price - I don't believe you can go wrong, my fellow picture-snappers! Get it - use it - enjoy it and share the results!!

Maybe for some - but not me
Internet Explorer version 7.0
Imho, all that is new is not necessarily better. I still prefer IE6 over IE7. I did, however, like some of the new features in IE7 (the ability to print a webpage and actually get ALL of it, the phishing filter and the ability to resize what you're looking at) but for the most part I just didn't like the "feel" of it. Some will think it's the neatest thing since sliced bread. I'm just not one of them.

For me, it's perfect!
SymmTime version 2.5.0
I used [...] as a time sync for many years and was quite happy with it. Unfortunately, after I had to replace a hard drive I couldn't get [...] to work anymore. It kept timing out on me. I went looking for a different time sync and found SymmTime. I love this thing! We have kids living in 2 other time zones and I can now see what time it is where they live so I can get THEM out of bed for a change. SymmTime also accesses the U.S. Naval Observatorys time server. InTime never could. And . . . it does it almost instantaneously. This is a great little program that has worked flawlessly for me. Many thanks to the developer. IMHO this is a definite MUST HAVE!

Cam2pc - a "must-have" for digital pics
cam2pc - Freeware version 4.3.6
After wasting literally months of time and hours of frustration with the software that came with my Kodak CX4300, I went looking for something better. Cam2PC to the rescue. This program outshines my OEM software by a TON. Most of my picture taking is done with a film camera but as I get more comfortable with digital photography and upgrade to a more sophisticated camera, I'll be using the "full" version of Cam2PC. If you are a digital camera user you should have Cam2PC. The price is certainly right - Get it !!
