You have read all the good comments from all others. The only thing I would like to have is to have different desktop icons layout set differently. In other words, if you delete one desktop icon, all other virtual desktops will also be deleted. This is only set back for this program. Otherwise, it will be perfect

Not working for other language files

If you have language other than English, it will not work. I have some chinese coding files and when it shows, it will show ????filename. I tried to rename or cut the ? out, but keep getting error. That means.. this utility will not work other language file.

I tried few Ip scanner program. This is the only one that can return the true MAC addresses (Arp scan from Tools) which I need for my network cards (including Printer jetdirect cards). The interface is not that user friendly, but once you play around with it, this is a pretty good program!

Originally I liked this program, until I compared to the other program, I found out this program does not do exactly what I want. The other ip scanner program could find exactly the mac address, while this one appeared to be able to. I turned out having the result N/A for my printers jet direct cards. So, I think this program is good for certain extent, but not in a full scale.

You can find the files easily with this software. However, one thing I dont like is when you look for size, author of this software put bytes instead of mb or gig. I would rather to see mb as choice. Normally, people search for big files.. hmmm how many bytes are 10 mb? how many 0s????

I uninstalled right away. I used win2k to test it. It seems okay, but when I do something *, i will get few yahoo.com or htm files, and I can't do *.* - (return invalid query as error) to find out where the large files are . Basically, it doesn't find things with wildcard. In other words, to look for something, you have to know the whole name. * just does not work.

After reading previous two extreme reviews, I thought of downloading and tried for it myself. I realized that it is a good product although it needs some improvement. When it comes to scheduling, I would think of different day and time. However, this program only offer time. It would be better if I could schedule Tuesday for one screensaver, Wednesday for another. Hopefully if there is upgrade, it will work. Other than that, everything seems okay. I think my review should be fair enough.

It's a very handy thing if I want to have it shut down automatically. However, one day, I have 2 big print jobs on queue. I checked the cpu, it didn't show any movement. So, the shutdown according to cpu idle time will not work in this case. I had to estimate the time to have it shut down after printing. If the next version will have options that let print jobs all finish first then shut down, this product will be 5 stars. For now, it's 4 star in my book..

First of all, many hide programs will hide to system tray. This program will hide completely which is good. But It does not do it automatically. Each time I want to hide something, I have to go through all the key strokes which is no good. However, there is a program called outofsight. I can do autohide according to program name. If this program can be modified as that level. I may use it.

If firefox would let me open groups as other third party browser (Green, Crazy,..), then it will be perfect... It is good to be an IE alternative in case your IE has been hijacked... of course, it wont hurt to have netscape installed as well...

I just compared the list from my norton. Norton shows about 64000 virus list...Well, having this program is like nothing then... First of all, I am not that crazy about IE based third party browser, if they are hijacked, it makes no difference... But after I tried this, I changed my whole prospective on it except hijacking reasons. Here is why. 1. Main reason - No installation needed. It is good for network environment. I can carry that with me wherever I go. My favorites and group icons will follow me. And the disk space is small! 2. Multiple Tabs - I can save it as a group (many 3rd party browser can do that), but this one also allows me to bookmark my favorite URL and folder. That means, I could remove dirkey, and 2xexplorer for this reason. 3. There are lots of features here although some of them I don't even bother using it. But nice to have 4. Freeware, what else is better then free!? One thing it needs to be improved though.. If the folders (from local drive) can be opened as a group and embedded in the browser, then it will be perfect! Calling it green should be too plain for this browser...

I always wanted to have an explorer that can allow me to bookmark all other folders. Well, I have review 2xexplorer. After seeing this program, I found what i need, I don't think I need the 2xexplorer anymore. (Beside, I found another bug from that 2xexplorer -- can't remove folders while you are in there) Because it will allow me to bookmark more than 2 folders. Nice job!

Well, you can only use icq as a way to set up an account, then trillian will take over........ Personally, icq does not do video or voice chat, it is pretty useless.. Yahoo or msn at least will have voice/video capability.. Not this icq!

If it does the work... Really, read all the good review about it, and I am the one who is using it as well. I have no idea if my pc is protected??!! It will just block it and I don't get a report from it. It just says, you put it in your pc, you are protected... To me, I don't see any difference. Unlike Ad-aware, spy-bot, you scan, you see the result. This one, practically you don't see any result... Recommend it? sure, just put it there.. but I don't really know how good....

At first, I was looking for something that will switch desktop like Linux/Solaris does, It can also switch all system tray icons and desktop icons. But this is only for picture display. It's nice to have, but not to me. It serves no purpose to me at all if it doesn't hide or change the system tray icons from other desktop. Basically, this is just some enhancement for you to beautify your boring look at your computer. That's all. You can't hide from your boss of what you have been doing in you system tray or desktop...... I would not recommend it if you are looking for security purpose.

If you are in a need to split your files, I recommend nothing but this one. As a matter of fact, all of them are almost the same. I used a couple before, but I think I will stick with this one.... because it does what it says and it is free!

After I discover Yawcam, this is really nothing.. and realize this program has rooms to improve. 1. Can't automate to start 2. Can't hide to system tray. And I have a pc with virtual machine on, somehow it took the virtual machine ip instead of my regular eventhough I didn't start my virtual machine software.... Lots of improvement, but you can still use...

You don't need to install anything embedded program to your IE and anything. This program will act like Dos program and bring you to the spell check you want in Dos-like mode. It works okay, however, I don't feel comfortable with that dos-mode feature. But for a quickie, yes I still recommend it

Just love this plug-in. You save lots of time on emailing file attachment. You can pick your size that automatically zip it for you. However,the recipient will not save time on opening it. I wish there is a plug (or improvement of this plug-in) in that can open attachment as well.

It is good, but I don't think it worths five star rating.. A couple of things. First, when I append to the log file, I will not able to see them because of no CR, it is just all go together in the text format. Hard to read!!! Consume CPU time.. When it is scanning to your pc, watch out, your pc will be consumed more than 50% CPU time. One more thing, it does not create file automatically, you have to tell it to do it. If you want to write a log file, don't forget to do action or it won't do it all. I figured it out after 3 or 4 days having it sit on my system tray It is good product, but not a great product.

The advantage is that It can eat cookies in a automation way. I had it set up as a batch file on my windows scheduler to kill cookies every 15 mins. And it does the work! It is run and gone thing. There is no need to keep loading it on system tray. However, some cookies don't get killed. I wonder! I had IE Privacy Keeper on and checked, some cookies are still in the system not killed. Well, for me, It does protect some sort of security, I like it because it can run in a command line mode, kill and run. I don't like it because it misses some cookies.. Maybe the cookie monster is too clumsy!???

It does what it says... If you have to type everything again every day or some paragraph has to be used over for certain people (for example, resume, or thank you letter or envelop addresses,labels) You don't need to save the whole thing and edit it. Just save the paragraph you want to do for certain people. The easy way, assign a symbol like "=" in Prefix and wala, your stuff got pasted over in a flash. Highly recommended! 5 stars! No fault found!

At first, I didn't know if I have the need for taking notes on software. After testing this software, taking notes on computer is more fun than ever! Especially in computer age, we don't know how to write anymore! (My handwriting is bad anyway, sometimes I don't even know what I write) This software lets you customize your notes, icons, tab and so on. It is a great tool to replace your papers and pens!

There are lots of stuff I expected from this program. Like the multiple file folder tabs. It has favorites, however, it shows as icons, I can't rename it as name. Under the below folder, if it will let you list folders as well, it will be much better. It is a good product, but still there are lots of room for improvement!... My search is to be continued....

If you boss knows about this file, you cannot hire any secret from him/her even after you del all temp internet files!n It is amazing that this can restore files so easily. Very excellent product! Well of course, You can pick a program called ERASER to clean up your hard drive. (another excellent freeware)

How do I know if it is good? Comparing to other products like sure del, analogx shredder. Why? I had the file downloaded from snapfiles called Restoration. After I run this program Eraser, I practically don't see the files anymore from Restoration, But Restoration still see if it is eraser by other program. One note, you can copy everything to your network drive without installing. but you have to copy one dll that resides in windowssystem32. First I install, and then make a clone and uninstall and copy the dll file back to my network drive. It will work without installing in this case. It is pretty handy! However, the author didn't tell you that you can do that!

Not working on my xphome, and me

I installed on my xphome, I cannot do right click anymore after install folderview, it will crash my system. It is okay if I don't do right click on any folder or file. And it is not working on my WinME at all for some reason. I prefer folderbox as my alternate choice. If you have problems like mine, uninstall it and install folderbox. It's almost the same, and it saves you a systemtray space (no icon in system tray after running)

When you are trying to remember certain folder settings, this is good for you. For example, I try to do a cut and paste (re-organize ) on my start up setting on all user profile. Each time, I have to click so many times to get there. With this software, only once, and it embedded in the explorer. Excellent Idea!

I see many software required server to host your web cam. This software will let you do it right off your pc. Very excellent piece of art. I used to have some ex-freeware software. It was a server based, so after a while, the guy decided to make money off from the users. He changed freeware to be commericalware. Many people are forced to pay or remove the software!... This software, there is no need to depend on somebody's server which is very excellent idea!

I came up a program that will generate an IP address from my isp (my ip keeps changing), I used this program to email my ip info so that I can remote control home program. It is pretty good if you want to have your home pc's log files, daily stuff sent to wherever you will be. It is an excellent program.

It is good if you have a pc with lots of stuff to run in start up or slow machine. Very often, all the program will clog the system and create errors. This will solve the problem! However, I think it can be improved. It should have some date stamp on certain program. This progam only does it every time you start up. So, if you want to start up something on Sunday only. You can't do it with this software. (
