Reading the above posts, which are old now, a few things, first, for everything this has to offer, it's not going to be Ccleaner and a one click method, it's going to be complicated to an extent. I felt it was actually fairly easy to work around and figure out. Nag screen? Most nag screens cannot be disabled, I don't feel this was "in my opinion" a nag screen as those that are constantly popping up, especially for donations for such a great freeware. Calling home? Most do for updates, it's not an intrusion at all, I checked personally. I found a fair amount of documentation on the internet to use this when I got stuck, however, as I progress, I will likely make a tut for this great software. My movies will now have great additions that they were lacking prior. I say excellent work to the author! And thank you for this great software!

I didn't care for this. The interface is weird, it won't load from a folder, only music in single file form, "wouldn't on my pc anyway" and would NOT retrieve any info for any songs at all. I have a lot of music and most of them popular, it should have found something. I think I'll leave this one alone. It's free so you have nothing to lose by trying it.

I too as other used Power Desk, etc... but I like this one better. When I work with plugins, folders, Gimp, images all at the same time, this is perfect! I don't have to open numerous windows, yet I have enough in one window and it works great. I think I'll be keeping this one. It's fast, has an easy to use interface, free, can't say enough about it.

Well, not sure what to say about this. I sure wouldn't pay for it. It's alright on an image where the color separations are easy to find but if you have an image eg... my daughter holding ice cream cone, her cheeks get colored along with ice cream, no way to avoid it, no options, etc...there are no instructions but takes only a few minutes to figure out, er... if it's worth the few minutes of your life you'll never get back. Anyway, I can do this in other image editors and found this to be, well, boring and not too useful.

virtualStudio version 1.0.37

I wasn't highly impressed with this software. The interface is alright but the app seems to be a bit sluggish and doesn't really feature half of what other free image editorsdjusters do. It's a bit stuffy to me. Like the curves option, very slow responding and I am not running some OEM petty PC for the record and have enough resources to run anything. So perhaps it's an OS issue with it, DK but at first, it wouldn't allow me to open a pic, click OK, it would just hang. I really wasn't impressed with it but once again, Even if not "the best" it's still a decent freeware and you can't lose out from trying it.

Everything version 1.2.1.371

With the indexing, it is a VERY fast search, likely can't get much faster. You type, it goes through and it's "RIGHT THERE" whatever you are looking for. If you are like me, always searching for files and messing around on the PC, this is the tool you need without a doubt. It doesn't support Fat at32 but then again, they are going the way of the dinosaur with being less secure, drive size restrictions, etc...Last time I used Fat32 was about 8 years ago, for some, longer. they are old school now and need to move on. So if you decide to use this, make sure you go to the site and read how to go over to NTFS. Anyway, Everything is great and I have a feeling will only get better.

I don't recall using a color picker before "my have" but this is very nice, easy to use and has just the right amount of options. Shows the hex, well, different options for that as well. Just click the dropper, then drag the dropper over "wherever" and there you go.

...but I can't understand all the hoorays for Shrink Pic which is what prompted me to try it. I tried all formats and resizing, the tutorial thinking I was doing something wrong but I emailed some screenshots to myself and regular pics and they look terrible. This resizer took away a lot of quality from the pictures, it states they look as good, uh... not even close. If I could post the images I would just to show. Nah, I have other resizing software and they are far better and free as well. I was not impressed with Shrink Pic but hold no ill will toward it, it is free and has made some people happy so that's a good thing.

Imagelys Picture Styles

qleft  Very nice  qright

Imagelys Picture Styles version 5.0
  • Interface: 4
  • Features: 4
  • Ease of use: 4
  • Value: 5
  • Overall: 4

Not bad at all. There are plenty of effects and patterns, along with numerous options to work with. I think the user interface could use some work, like delete layer on right click, effects windows need a change as well like opening a separate effect window completely, not integrated with others, also that annoying tool palette window that if you touch it, it opens, at least give an option to do so completely manually. It's a bit slow on the draw compared to others and I experience lag with this constantly. Tried on 3 computers with a lot of resources, it's just the prog itself. All in all if you don't want to learn Gimp or Photoshop and just want something that will do most of the popular effects and such, then this is a great image editor and with some work will be a top competitor.

qleft  Good but not fabulous  qright

S10 RedEyes
  • Interface: 4
  • Features: 4
  • Ease of use: 4
  • Value: 5
  • Overall: 4

This would be a great red eye software, however, the selection tool is a fixed ratio, it needs to be able to skew a bit, so you need to use the -+ keys to do so which is a bit odd the way it works. You will get used to it but would be much better if a person could just use elliptical select all the time with mouse. It's not auto fix as Snapfiles review states, but close enough. Actually, I like this method better as some don't fix the eyes exactly where you would like, you are in control of this with S10. It has a few extra features but not many which is GOOD. I like a software that is good at one thing not bad at many. So this is pretty good for free.

It's a nice software but I feel it's a bit behind with all the free editors that do so much and didn't hold any interest for me. It's just too old style and simple compared to most. Although in it's defense, at the time it would have been great and still is but I feel if not updated it's going to go the way of the dinosaur. I still like to say it was well put together though and the author did a good job at the time.

A very nice screen capture utility. I went in thinking I wouldn't like it but I did. I don't like toolbars but at least you don't have to install it, although many claim it's an awesome toolbar. Other than that, it gives you standard options, for me, that's all I want in a screen capture utility. I used to use Faststone image capture free but now they want money. I also use PicPick which is a free full editor and capture, excellent tool. If you don't want all that, then screenhunter is awesome. I feel ScreenHunter's capture is a bit faster than Picpick's, not much but some. Anyway, you can't go wrong with this. Great software.

I was skeptical about downloading another recovery tool, why? Because I have used so many, free and paid for that do the same thing. To my surprise, DiskDigger recovered not only files long deleted but I had backed up a woman's hard drive of pictures when replacing her hard drive. Since then, I have formatted my drive a couple of times and wrote much info to it, it's a backup drive, and DiskDigger actually recovered HER pic files "IN TACT" nonetheless. I was impressed to say the least. Excellent recovery tool, now my fav!

What I like about this process explorer is it seems to be far more informative than others. Can't beat the price, it's easy to use and the interface doesn't get much easier to comprehend. As with any process explorer, if a newbie, look up processes before messing with them. Other than that, nothing to it!

I have used this in the past and it's detection is very good. Found a lot of stuff from GAOTD, which led me to deeper research and find root kits from that stuff as well. Of course the cheerleaders there said TrojanHunter was some spyware app in itself, etc...never heard of it, blah blah, well, it's not and it's a very good app. As a matter of fact, I am thinking of buying it today.

At one time I would have recommended this but as it's no longer supported, "I couldn't get updates" or anything, nothing but errors with the last release, this release doesn't even recognize a java plugin, I don't feel it's a valid app to have. It's like Anti-Virus that's 5 years out of date, you can run it for all the good it will do you. I also believe at one time, CastleCops was a source for updates, which no longer exists either. I hope the author comes back in full force but haven't heard anything. Until then, I feel it's useless now and haven't found anything new on it.

ISO Recorder

qleft  Not bad for basic  qright

ISO Recorder version 2 RC1
  • Interface: 3
  • Features: 3
  • Ease of use: 3
  • Value: 5
  • Overall: 3

Well, to start, yes, it's a basic iso writer that integrates well. For users who want a very basic iso writer, this could work. However, I still like Imgburn best and was still much faster at ISO burning than ISO recorder by a few min which isn't that big a deal, but to some it may be. Imgburn is just as easy to use, open, select image, burn and for advanced users it has a TON more options. To me, ISO Recorder isn't really any easier to use but may save a click or two. So if looking for something easy that will just burn ISO, it's good, not as quick as others, but good. That said, one issue was not being able to remove the ISO Recorder associations after install no matter what I did. Any time I accessed an ISO for any reason, I would get an error and couldn't use the ISO to even burn or open in ISO buster. I solved it "somehow" and all is well. Still a decent free ISO burner.

Just used this and thought it may be another typical music organizer but it wasn't. It gets info and organizes beautifully and quickly. The only problem, I wish it would actually organize the original files. If you change the text to caps on the music files in Jaangle, it won't apply it to my main music files. If it could, this would be awesome. So I still need to find something to organize my music for good, not just using a database. However, it's still a 5 star for what it's meant to do.

After all this time, still no issues and love this that I had to post again. As to the person below, it's either caused from a bad dll, ms update, trojan or virus, or drivers or simply messed up settings to begin with, could even be a hardware issue. Winsock fix is used to correct these errors, not cause them. There is something else going on, or you messed up your own settings aside from what winsock fix tried to do. I still love winsock fix, works great. Just sent a copy of link to father in law, who has no computer skill, used it, got reconnected, saved me hours on the phone! Thank you winsock fix!

Registry Fix Pro version 1.5

I didn't find this to be too "tech level" for anyone. It's very straight forward actually and the interface is simple, to the point with no need for heavy graphics. It found approximately 1023 errors on my system, cleaned them, no issues. It makes an automatic registry backup in case of problems. Plus if you go to options, you can create a restore point with it as well. I tried the registry restore and worked fine. I don't have time to go through every reg file for a definition, but being I have delved in the registry numerous times, scanned through and found nothing of importance to not be deleted. All in all, fairly decent but for the less savvy, use Ccleaner for quick cleans without worrying although I didn't feel any need to worry using this.

Ok, to be honest, it has potential, however, it's not very user friendly really. It's much more of a pain to use than simply opening up any basic text editor and keeping notes that way. There are many more decent note takers out there. It's free, I give it that. I don't like the Ins button used since I have to turn off my Num Lock to use it. It may be able to be changed, don't know, didn't bother to look as i'm uninstalling it. Once again, a lot of potential but it's completely dry at the moment.

It does touch up photos very quickly and nicely, it's easy to use too. I didn't like the preview windows however. Even if you enlarge it, it's not large enough to see the changes in full. If there was an option for preview in a large side by side, I would give it a 5. Example... I have large digital photos but original preview size is to compact for detail to be seen, when you do enlarge, you have to pan through the whole picture. Other than that, it does a great job.

I too wondered why the rating was THAT low. I did read the cons and I don't feel the compression or other formats is too big an issue. It clearly states what it can convert images to and for typical users who simply want jpeg or whatever, this works. Yes, ok, the jpg compression would help but isn't life or death. For all intents and purposes, it's a nice fast way to change image formats. I'll use Gimp for most things but if I need a quick format change, hey, this will do just fine.

First problem was trying to drag and drop files into the interface, kept getting some exception error. When unzipping a rar, it would stop before completely done and freeze. Also one other issue was even when a rar was done, it wouldn't have all files?? No issues with zip though. I wasn't too impressed. Aside from that, the author's answers don't do the software any justice and are simply RUDE. So all that combined, the only thing I found decent was the price. Although I must say, the FLU is free, but I don't want THAT either. Complaints help build on software, free or not and I think this attitude attributes to flaws that could otherwise be fixed and become a great little software. in other words, be a man and take the lumps to improve a software. Really , the interface itself is good, I didn't care for the functionality. Once again, it's free but I hate wasting time on something that is thrown out there.

Well, after using syncback for a long time, I feel I have found something better. It's very easy to configure, more back up time options and does the job well. I love the real time backup, although "experimental" currently, it works very good. It does take a lot of resources though, more so than Halo or VM and slows my machine down drastically. Once again, back to the understanding it's just in it's early stages so no prob here. I am simply happy to have the real time when needed! If they need beta testers or anything, I'm in! This is going to be one of the best sync tools out there.

While SA is decent, I would like to offer another opinion about NOT worrying about how you surf. SA is NOT fool proof, NOT 100% and is only a good tool up to a certain point. This is no different than any bad site protection software except that I do feel SA does a much better job than others. I found SA to be more thorough and updated than others. I would still not think yourself worry free when using it or ANY others and learning decent surfing habits is the best protection along with SA.

Well, I had a fair share of issues with this. First the nag window at the beginning, then when trying to add watermark, got an error, it quit. After getting a few small jpegs to resize, the watermark I newly entered was not on the images. The biggest problem, after resizing, I could view them in Win pic and fax viewer or others but not in VSO. Hmmmm. So basically when I went to resize after a resize, it didn't want to recognize the pic files it itself created. I honestly felt this app was a bit of a waste of time and there are many more out there that do a much better job and don't ask ag for commercial purchase.

I scaled a clock pic, 256X256 png image down to 32X32 and it was fairly horrible. I did the same in Gimp and it came out excellent, smooth, nearly all features still in the pic. This may be good for squared images with a high res but forget working with icon images. You won't get a great result. So if you are looking for a basic resizer, free, it's OK.

Then I did get it to scan partially, no graph charts.... It is now in working order and does great. A bit buggy off the get go but now I am very happy with it, it is not only a graphical chart, but you can click your way through the files and folders using the chart. How cool is that? Plus you can very easily print off the chart if need be. Very good software, very useful but could use a few improvements is all. Nothing to lose here, worth a try.

While I wouldn't use the defaults for my own page, this has taken away ANY issues with building so I could happily do any customizing without worry. Simply excellent! I found another that I thought was just about perfect, until I downloaded this. It would take 10 to 15 min for a quick page, that's it! You can quickly view the changes by the V button in the toolbar, no problem. Add links without a problem. Switch from web view to source in a split second for manual editing, how easy is this thing??? That easy! It's an editor with an attitude! Hats off and my thanks to the author or authors, excellent work!

While this is a basis for pop mail, it still has plugins and other things to include for hotmail and such. I say that because it says to download the hotmail plugin, did that, went through the whole page of steps to install it "thinking I did something wrong" and I find I did it correctly, was constantly getting errors, connection errors, accessibility errors, the list goes on. Tried setting it for my outlook, ok, it accessed it but would bring up blank mail and then an error. So I then search the forum seeing how others have the SAME issue I have, no fix. There is some other proggy they suggest to install to aid in hotmail, yahoo, gmail, etc.... But I became tired of going through all the hassle, truly, people don't only use local mail, most use webmail and I feel this should be updated accordingly if they want people to use this. Plus, didn't work for my pop mail either!

Much like others, your system ends up slowing down and not running correctly with it's usage. This is no exception. It doesn't like it when you use something like Gimp or a 3-d app, or something that uses extra resources. I guess another way to explain my experience is Fast Defrag was fighting for control, not actually working in harmony with my system. I ended up doing 3 restarts due to a non responsive OS. A noticeable difference when transferring large files over my home lan, they became slow or sluggish if you will. That said, what good is it? I have gotten rid of this plague and now my PC is healthy running again.

I recall when Winamp was just basically a player and it did it's job well, now, it takes forever to do what it used to do in seconds. I also noticed a higher error and crash rate than prior. No surprise though, more bloat, less stable. I will stick with Media Jukebox or even more basic and wonderful, Spiderplayer.

I'm still not sure what it would do in a viral situation, I have to try that yet but in all other ways, it did it's job and was very effective. I give it a 5 for now, then i'll use my Virtual to test it while getting malware, etc... and see just what happens. If it at least prevents some file modification, it's worthy to me.

Of course a review wouldn't be honest with at least trying this, ***sigh*** even though I knew ahead of time what this would bring to my desktop. For one, I feel the threat level system is ridiculous and does nothing but cause people to over react but that's another story, so.... Ok, it's nothing personal of course. Seems like they did a good job with it regardless and perhaps would think of creating something else that we can use? But no, I don't recommend this for many reasons and as with anyone, is just my opinion.

I understand how TRICKY internet filtering can be, I really do, but when I install something and it blocks common sites but does nothing to stop porn images or porn itself, Huston, we have a problem! I found it worse to use than having nothing, why? My reasoning is this, if you trust in something, you are completely setting yourself up for disaster. I would not trust my kids on this as it would definitely let the baddies through. I would rather use a full kids browser or other ways to limit internet activity, not by using this.

Well, it did log IE activity, however, Firefox seems to be in the clear, this won't find what's going on there. A minor security side step, not logging one of the most popular browsers. That aside, One the PLUS side, it comes with a free family keylogger version which seems better than the "home keylogger" which I rated and drew me to look into more. The family keylogger is one you typically pay for so at least that's included as a Bonus! file. However, I'm not rating family keylogger here, I'm rating Spyarsenal so the rating is for that only.

Really, it breaks down to each file and such so it gives you all the info you need of what sizes are what. I rather enjoyed this one and think I'll keep it. I don't need anything fancy, just want to know what's taking up space and this shows me, plain and simple. The one thing I can say about all Memecode software, it installs fast, uninstalls fast, leaving no garbage behind. So even with the others, if you don't like the software, you must appreciate the install and uninstall keeping a system from clogging with junk.

Even when holding the shift key, I kept getting that annoying pop up stating I should hold the shift key, uh.... ok. So it's alright for free if you are one who has no issues with it. It's quick, has a ton of features and won't cripple your pc. I don't think I would pay 50 bucks for it though, once again, there are too many options out there to pay that price for this. First of all, if you have reinstalled windows or such, you may get a MSVCR71.DLL error when installing this. After a search through the forum I found "what I already figured" simply download the .dll file "which isn't recommended to do by some" and put it in the Windows/System32 folder. I have had to install .dll's this way a few times, just be careful where you get it. Also, I have gotten more errors trying to connect to the databases than I care to. The Terminator should be a fairly popular movie and easy to get, well, for me it was numerous tries before I actually got the file. For whatever reason, I cannot merge say T1, T3, with T2, why? I have no idea. So it has to remain a separate entity. I'll stick with EMDB over this. PVD isn't horrible but needs work.

And no, no AV or firewall on this pc so that wasn't the issue. I immediately used Paragon to restore the drive to the state prior to to CompuSec's install using CD and all was back. I tried it again, this time booted into Windows, then CRASH, BSOD... The error was noted in the virtual memory. Hmmmmm, funny thing, the disk is fine, new, and paging file is off since I have 2 gigs of ram in it and only use for testing. Once restored, ran disk check for the sake of it, all is good. My search for life was that of SETI help in solving connection issues. I found no such life there either. I always give things a chance and maybe in the future this will actually run correctly and we can enjoy helping out. Begs the question, if they can't run this right, who is behind the technology to search for other life? Seriously, one must wonder, is this a contributing factor to NOT finding other life perhaps? My son is still running his, so we'll see for how long. I took mine off finally. ...**Kirk out***

I have almost 10,000 pics from years of saving and got tired of other renamers taking forever, not renaming how I want, etc... this one, no issue. Great app!

Most of what was stated in post prior to mine, summed it up greatly so I will try to not be redundant. I thought it ran well, didn't hog my system, decent interface but couldn't add new content. Basically, it's like a manageable application with short cuts to other sites , news, whatever. I found it to be the same as others. Everything you get now days has Youtube, Google, etc... a to do list, same ole same ole. This was nothing out of the ordinary and less than exciting so I can't in my honest opinion, even though it ran great and such, give it anything higher than a 3. Sorry.

It's not a horrible editor and has some decent options. However, I felt as though I was finding my way through a jungle after a while, not very user friendly at all. Also, it crashes every so often, likely due to it's own confusion, DK. Anyway, there are numerous other editors that exceed this one and it's better than nothing, better than using a basic text editor in some ways but I would only recommend it if you can't find another out there. Likely you can and will though. It's still decent for a free editor. As with many, it needs work.

I have the whole sys eternals suite and have found every app to be very useful. This is no exception and one of the better ones. If you want to see what's going on in real time or close to, this will be the app. This also comes in handy for those little things that may be using resources that you had no idea were even there, yep, you'll find it, apps that's hogging or causing errors etc... or maybe even something that shouldn't be there. I only use it when I begin noticing issues and typically this helps me track down a left over active file that is kicking in. Like Itunes and it's updater, even though I uninstalled, the updater was going constantly and was left behind. It didn't show in processes, this found it and I deleted it, all was well.

This will be ideal and anyone who wants to try, learn or has tried others, should try proxy+, it's FREE and does the job well. As well, using others, I seemed to get more than enough errors, this one, smooth as can be. That makes it Proxy + + .

This is an excellent registry app. I was hard pressed to even try it as others have been less than satisfactory. This one proved me wrong. The easy to use features and search are absolutely great, it's fast, informative, and all around what I like in a registry manager such as this. I give it a 5 with no problem. As with others' warnings, I will keep the fire going in hopes to deter an accidental OS kill and state the same,-----"IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING TO THE REGISTRY DON'T MESS WITH ANY REGISTRY MANAGER"---- It even states that it's not for beginners in the READ MORE. If you delete something and mess up the OS, then likely you have no idea what you are doing, the app won't do this on it's own.--- That said, if you do know how to monkey in the registry, then this will be an awesome help tool! Great work!

The idea as a whole for this is great, however, the interface needs a lot of work. It would be much easier to simply have a note book type where all you do is enter your info and it is added to each page, at least as an option. The tabs and methods of creating a new note are a bit hectic to use, it needs to be re-organized, put together better. In other words, it's too much for entering simple info. This is more "to me" like an office type of software and not a simple virtual note book you add info to. With a major over haul, I would definitely consider using this again but not UNTIL then. Otherwise, it's a nice idea!

This is a good way for me to practice back up. I also like this for my two younger kids who are learning to type, this will be excellent for them. It's a decent interface, could use some changes though. I turned off the animation, the fish were making me dizzy when I'd try to type but my daughter likes them on. It also has sound option, skin options, etc... so I thought this was pretty cool for a freebie typing tutor.

While trying to find the words to describe my experience using this, it's seems like just another browser, nothing stood out that WOWed me. It needs some work and I don't feel this would be a browser of my choice in the long future. Some of the features are different but not enough to keep me hooked. I would rather install IEpro. GB is not horrible or anything and still worth a try. Has potential but again, dropping any of the current giants for this? I don't see it happening. GB will have to do a lot more for that to happen.

I took a picture of a bear I had, very poor quality, but took this to it and it looked like the bear was lit among a dark forest, very cool. Oh, also did a dark tree scene, it looked like it was almost daylight when I got done. Worth 29 bucks? I don't think so, maybe 15-19, some may feel it's worth the 29 bucks. Well after another try, it installed. I had no issues with it finding the garbage files, however, when it came to the .zip files, I can't uncheck them?? I can't deselect, I can't do anything besides delete it. Not good. Reinstall no.2. Thought it may be another bad install, tried again, same issue. So that really put a damper on this. This is a bit buggy I think. Ok free software but not one I'd likely use again. There are far too many that do the same and work far better. But along with that, maybe it can develop into a better software over time, gotta start somewhere. So for basic files, it's ok.

It CLAIMS to support all formats but how it works with them is a whole other matter. Good luck getting the sound in sync with many conversions. Of course that's assuming you can get conversions to work after hopping numerous hurdles. It's not THE absolute worst software out there but FAR from what it claims. I have MANY startup items and it takes mere seconds for them to load, regardless of order. That said, I still have much respect for this app, I just hope that in time, it does not become an unnecessary app for too many as it did on my machine. I still use it to remove some startup items which I could do manually but this app has had a place on my machines for some time and I refuse to get rid of it. It is STILL a 5 star as far as i'm concerned.

I had a few issues the first being it refused to import my bookmarks from IE or Firefox. Tried everything. It wasn't as fast at downloading for whatever reason and Firefox opened faster, downloaded faster, loaded pages faster. Not as in "left Maxthon in the dust" or anything but could tell the difference. Also, when trying to view many themes, many were in Japanese or Chinese, which I have no issue with but would help to have multi-lingual titles at least. Maxthon kept going back to it's own page even though I set it to Google for my home page. After the 3rd or 4th restart, it finally stuck. So I had a few things that turned me off to this browser, HOWEVER, it has now become my second fav browser under FireFox. I always thought Opera or Flock would take that lead but not this time. Still and excellent browser! I still recommend it highly!

The only thing that stops me from using this and giving it a 5 is the copy time. It seems much slower than most when first syncing a folder to another drive. Even when a folder is synced already, it's still a bit on the slow side compared to others. It still does the job however. With the interface, ease of use, price, you still can't beat it. This is extremely nice for directory listings, or whatever you need to list. So far, I feel this is the best. Why? Because others have issues when creating a list, things don't always line up and some things get cut off. This doesn't do that. Multiple methods of creating lists, very nice, keeps text in order relative to directory, very nice. No install and easy to use. If the author would like me to create some icons for this, I would be more than happy to, lol. I'm going to for my own use so it looks decent in RocketDock. Anyway, aside from the uglycon which isn't a big deal of course, functionality is what matters, I highly recommend this and will be my number one for indexing my downloads.

While I am fairly good with words and don't typically need to look anything up "for basic every day needs that is" when I run into a bind where I need to use something, "not so common" this is an excellent app to have. I just click it open, type in a word, done. I have my definition. Doesn't get any easier and I don't have to browse for online dictionaries. I will definitely be keeping this one.

Very nice tool to have. It is as posted, using the ctrl combos. I had issues with the editor no popping up though, "talking when choosing from the menu, not short cut" so that threw me a bit. However, it wasn't enough for me to say anything horrible on this app. I think it could use some more features to be a top notch app. Still is really, but needs improvement. I am still keeping it and using it, everyone gets tired of losing the cache from the clipboard, this releases that nightmare. Great work!

I did use this thinking I'd give it a try as a quick fix software when I don't want to open other editors for a smaller job. Unfortunately, it doesn't really fix the picture, it just blurs the image. I wouldn't call that professional by any means. A beginners quick fix, maybe, a plugin, maybe, a professional program? Not likely. I can do far better in other editors with just as much ease. It's still ok to fix some flaws in images and still recommend it to those who want to quickly touch up a digital photo but if you are looking for a miracle, you will have to look elsewhere. Still nice for the price.

One of the first things I looked for was the prtScrn to be allowed as a hotkey, no go. This reminded me too much of another capture utility, MWsnap or something thereof. Anyway, it captured fine and saves to decent amount of formats. I did get some shut down errors when capturing here and there. I do feel the interface, while not most important, is sort of ugly and scattered and in my opinion, needs some work. I do like the fact this runs from the .exe instead of installing on the system, but when you want to reconfigure, you have to hunt it down and would be easier from the programs menu. I always give a review in hopes to improve, not to slam or hinder a software. If this can be improved, it will be an awesome capture utility.

As the poster below, I also work on computers and I had this annoying OpenOffice installer shortcut that kept appearing on my desktop. Not a real threat or anything, just annoying. Funny thing was, the installer was hidden, not nice from something you trust. I believe it was dropped by a Java install. Either way, it would not show anywhere, I unhid items, etc... but as stated, wasn't a real threat, just a pain so I just left it for now until I did my thorough cleaning which I do manually but takes a lot of time. Decrapifier just saved me some time by actually finding it, and getting rid of it! I was highly impressed by this. I can't recommend this enough and is an easy to use, awesome tool to get rid of , well... crap. Thanks!

Also, it didn't place my icons anywhere except on the desktop. My pc seemed to slow as well when using this. Even after uninstall so ran Ccleaner, it cleared the issue up, I believe another left over registry item, nothing major. So I can't say I got a lot out of this but with some work I would be willing to try again.

I use RocketDock so thought, hey, wonder if this will work. YES! So now I have it on RocketDock, no worry about opening my computer, etc... for some folders, they are all right there. So if you combine RocketDock with SnapFolders, you have a clean desktop and access to everything. I think SnapFolders did a great job with this. Sure it can be done manually but it is much easier to right click and create it into that folder automatically. Great work to the author on this one!

While I feel the intentions were good here, I can honestly say I won't be using, let alone buying this. The color replacing on edited image was sloppy, even on basic images. It would make more sense to click on the duplicate editing image rather than the original to change color. The interface is extremely easy, unfortunately that doesn't come close to making up for lack of a good program. I can name fifty different freewares that will outrank this by 100-1 in every aspect, price wise, quality and interface. I apologize but any amount is TOO much for this, even free I can't honestly say I would use this. If it needs work, I suggest giving it away free, building it up, working on it, then once a good product, put a price on it.

With some added knowledge prior, it's like having an html secretary helping you create your page. It's not so automatic where it's downright confusing and you lose your ability for manual control but it's not just note pad either. It's a perfect combination, many auto features, eg... add image button, and such, but you can also manually edit your info right from the window. I am actually excited to use this more. I had a quick page done in minutes, unbelievable. I usually do all this manually but this has given me the opportunity to work with my creative side and worry less about the basic tags constantly. I had iso images, that I downloaded from the ms dream spark page, well, they were immediately turned into TUGZip ISOs? TZ is no longer on my pc, so it's likely a leftover registry issue. Anyway, it all but rendered them useless. Luckily ISO buster repaired the issue, much faster than re-downloading. I knew it was a bit buggy prior but was a major headache after uninstall.

I think it needs to quit being a showboat like Norton and go back to being the excellent firewall it was years ago. Then I may consider going back to it. I had a dsl issue when I was blocked completely, not resolved yet. It's security is good, I give it that but not enough to make me keep this on my pc. So until the next version.....

I used ePrompter for some time but still couldn't get it to work right, so I gave up on any email handlers after a while. Now that PoP Peeper is back on my desktop, it's staying there. "Not saying it can't be or hasn't been" it is a deeper utility than say, GlaryUtilities, although that's a fav of mine too. The view details needs some work although I think it's Beta right now the way it opens up onto the site page. While it's one of my favorites, I still feel it needs work in some areas, among them, what files are being protected, a list in txt would be nice. Oh well, for FREE, it's still a major and respected competitor among it's ranks. I like it and will always use it. Newbies may want to read before using some other tools though.

Sure, if I want to go into services and all that, blah blah blah, but on the bright side, it's ok for those who may not know about getting something else that works far better and free. I noticed some apps wouldn't run with this installed, there was no blocking or anything, just wouldn't go. Once uninstalled, the apps were back! I simply can't agree with the ratings on this one. First of all, be prepared to boil a bit when you see it's 30 days trial version, it's not though, it's free but had to quickly make sure I downloaded the right one. In the ABOUT it states this part is freeware. Hey, I know, how about stating that at the BEGINNING? In my honest opinion, I found it a bit tedious, running from task bar, creating the db, and then of course downloading the cataloger separately. Ok, still no big deal on any of these and doesn't affect functionality. I would rather use spider player. This is ok but not my cup of "orange tea" I guess. I would still recommend it to others though and is still an excellent freeware.

I actually like Accuweather desktop over this but haven't used that in some time. Last time I used weather.com's desktop weather, it was as bad as running Norton. I couldn't recognize zip files from anywhere besides the given drives olders until I reinstalled. Then it has this habit of closing to the tray when in middle of operation. Last but not least, only recognizing half the .zip files in a folder??? Too much hassle to unzip an X amount of files. As such, I don't want extra clutter in progs for a half of a zip utility, I'll stay with a full zip utility that does the exact same thing anyway.

While I never felt secure unless using my manual method of entering passwords and such, Roboform has changed my mind. The password protection against use when you "LOG OFF" that is, else anyone can view the content. I believe you can auto log off after a period of time and clear the cache. That said, it's so nice to just click on the card and off I go to my favorite sites, sign in automatically and good to go. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that if you email a passcard or info, it's still easily viewed without asking for password. I may have missed something though. The problem is, if I send a passcard or identity info to any other email, it's supposed to be password protected, HOWEVER it's NOT and can be opened by ANYONE. I would really like to know how this can be and why it's not considered a flaw.

Was hoping for this to be a replacement but I found I would rather use straight Itunes or Yammi. The interface was alright but found this a bit buggy when trying to manage. Didn't recognize some music, etc... It needs some work, then maybe I will revisit it but until then, I'll stick with what's worked flawlessly for me.

I finally uninstalled it. It was good, but being based on user opinions is a double edged sword. Either way, I can live without it but it is good for others who may not be so familiar with sites and such. I will keep this on my kids' computers and perhaps even the wife. So yes, it's very good but not something I am going to use.

Gives you a lot of options and is excellent for network monitoring. I retrieved all passwords without a hitch. I am still in the process of exploring and testing all options. For a newbie, I suggest some reading right off the bat or this will hold nothing for you. I found this extremely powerful, especially the brute force options. Can't say anything bad about this.

Well, it would be a great tweak utility but for the most part, it's a bit screwy. All I did was open it to view the options and now it's saying I need a restart?? What the...? So after browsing each option, most of which didn't impress me and those that did are already enabled. It's a very nice tweak tool but use with caution! There are other tweakers out there and I just don't feel this one was ALL THAT. Good but far from excellent. I am wondering what's going to happen if I do restart. I think a restore point is in order.

I have never tried a pic encrypt before so maybe I'm a bit too happy with this for that reason, don't know. I love it though, very easy to use. Pick a picture, type in a password, save to X format and viola! Encrypted message hidden in the pic! The only downfall I see is of course, getting others to use the same app. Also, there would "I assume" have to be a common password between two parties. I may try going pro with this one, it's just fun to use.

I didn't have any issues unzipping except a couple. It's a decent interface and at first I thought, could it be, this one's better than Izarc? Well, no it isn't in my opinion. Izarc has been flawless for me. This one already gave me issues. That said, if this gets some body work, I think it'll be a number one.

On the bright side, it's very simplistic. I did have some problems with it right off the bat though. It didn't want to split certain mp3's etc... why, I have no idea. The formats are fine and it did split them after I restarted the app. Not too big an issue. I have found others that will do the same albeit a bit more in depth and require a larger learning curve than this one but the functionality didn't impress me on this. It's still an ok splitter though. Not one I'd use personally though.

To some, it may already be but I feel it's not as easy to use for some, the interface lacks in some areas but for the most part, it's very good. I would still recommend it but there are others I would choose first that do the job better.

I use this for beginners, when I fix their computer and they have no idea what an anit-v is or firewall, I explain then attach a vid for them to see, sort of an instruction video for them, they love it. Saves me time from sitting on the phone too! I would highly suggest this.

I think this is a top notch software and I don't say this too often but it's worth the money. It's interface is excellent, fast depending what your needs are of course as with anything and does the job. The downside, there are free ones that do just as well in the tests I did anyway, not saying they are top notch tests but recovered the same overwritten files as the free did. It did however, recover more files, problem was, they were still unusable. That still highers the chances though of getting back lost pics and such than some of the free versions out there. So yeah, I think it's definitely worth a checking out and the money if you do buy one. This would at least be one you wouldn't lose out on.

Did some testing as others have failed miserably. This one seems to deliver, not just in the downloading area but speed as well. I downloaded from all my usual spots, including Snapfiles and it downloaded files without a hitch. It gave me the option to use it or Firefox downloader, same with IE, so that's nice. If it can't download a file for whatever reason, at least you have this option. Also, the resume and pause seems to work great too. It opens with every download that i've tried which is a plus. While I do have DSL and this can hinder smaller file download speeds, once again, I have the option plus I don't have to worry about broken downloads, can resume or pick up where I left off. Others didn't seem to work as solid as this one. Had no problem browsing around while downloading, all pages load fine. I think it's a keeper.

The price isn't bad but there are some freebies that can do more. Still very nice though and yeah, it's still worth the buy.

One, when scanning all computers on the network, it should have an active CANCEL button, other than task manager, no way to stop it and the window becomes unusable. Also, it may need a password prompt to get through the router, not sure but it wouldn't detect the pcs on my network. Could be the other firewalls though. One more thing, I wish it could get the keys from ALL software so I could back them up. That would be the cat's behind. Otherwise it's a good tool to have.

It's a dupe of the original toy. Nothing fancy but was nice to re-visit the 8 ball days. Had some freeze up issues with it but other than that it's alright. It's just for fun of course so can't expect it to be some major application here, it just does what it does. So that said, I rated it on what it's supposed to be, minus the freeze ups. And hey, it's free.

It's not an overly complicated interface with options scattered like a treasure hunt. It's fast and flexible, fairly easy to use off the bat. Definitely a 5.

I have used Paragon for almost two years. I haven't found a backup that is as fast at restoring my whole system as Paragon. 15-20 min tops, my whole system is back. Really, it can't get any easier, can it? You back up the drive, you restore it after creating a media disk, it's that simple and fast. Create numerous back ups limited to your drive space of course. It's the best back up and restore in my opinion. Can't beat the price either.

I didn't like the way SAS runs, seems to hog a bit. I think for a freeware it's OK and far better than nothing but in my opinion, it's simply an anti spyware app that has all the potential in the world but needs work first. It has all sorts of bells and whistles that don't get in the way. You can benchmark the system, view processes, event logs, just about everything. The only thing was after a global benching, I wish it had more comparisons for things like hard disk, etc... the only real comparison was the CPU. What it is basically a graphical chart showing how you stacked up against expected usage. Aside from that, this is a pretty awesome utility and a keeper in my book.

Yep, this is notepad on steroids. I did find the interface a bit tedious along with the features a bit twitchy. Instead of allowing to type text anywhere next to the inserted picture, you have to go into the object properties and adjust to -11 or so to get the text to be at the top. There is an align bottom or mid but no top??? Yeah, that kind of threw me. Any way, it's over all a very quick and very handy note pad type to have, even beats word pad to a pulp as far as I'm concerned. Even though rough around the edges, it's excellent and can allow you to quickly create a nice doc with pics. This would be a newspaper's writer's dream. And yeah, it's light, not like other full blown editors and office softwares so I do think that once some issues get worked out, it will be top notch and even now I recommend it and won't get rid of this one!

Same with IE7, it was faster than using SDF. Also, it wouldn't decide it could download for at least 15 to 20 seconds on some pages, well by then, I can have a file downloaded. Then it kept downloading even if I canceled. I had 3 IE8 setup files on my PC by the time it was done. Very odd downloader. It's free but can't say much for it and there are MUCH better out there. With some work I'm sure this could be a very nice download manager but not right now.

While I hate to be a bad apple here... This app takes way too long to recover images, not to mention only one type at a time. I re wrote over my USB flash many times and it did recover two most recent pics but took what seemed forever. The funny part, PC Inspector File Recovery, same makers, took seconds to do the same plus recovered numerous other files. Undelete plus did the same as well and took seconds too. PCISMR is far too slow and doesn't seem to recover anything more that the others. That said, something that took almost 45 min on a 1 gig flash drive to recover same two files, other software did in seconds, and more files to boot, does not allow me to give this a very good rating. It's great for free but as I said, others do the same but twice as fast, even one of it's own freeware brand file recovery.

However, wish I would have known about Cathy, this is EXACTLY what I was looking for, it prints how I wanted the other to print, archives quickly, and not just removable storage, ALL storage! This is awesome and I think the interface is fine too, not beautiful or anything but gets the job done. I have a lot of freeware in a Download folder, this printed it exactly how I wanted, DIR, then files under the DIR. The others either only printed the folder or every file under it, including the program files like gif, png, inf, all that, which I didn't want. So this is the ONE, thank you for Cathy!

I called this another almost as I had major issues with BZ and file naming. Same as CutePDF, file renaming automatically is a nightmare with multipleseparate printings. This day and age, auto naming isn't something that should be left out. I could be wrong and missed the setting, but tried just about everything possible, still wanted to overwrite last doc. That said, if it had auto naming like NovaPDF, I would love using BZ over others. Once again, could be wrong but I even searched and found nothing on it. So when you print multiple, it simply keeps overwriting and you end up with only one doc anyway unless manually naming each PDF.

First of all, yep, a great free PDF printer. However, why must you still install the Ghostscript separately? By now, should be at least included. Not that it's a big issue of course but would be nice. Also, still no setting I saw to simply renumber or re name PDF files automatically, always asking for naming instead which can be a pain on multiple files. Back in the day, this was an awesome PDF printer, still is but I feel it's getting past up now in 2008. Bullzip is one that surpassed it, although still lacking in some areas and NovaPDF, passed it. So that said, bring on the options, bring on the auto naming, bring on the included Ghostscript. Oh, did have a few crashes with it, nothing catastrophic or anything. Anyway, it's good but I feel for it to compete, it's going to have to improve a lot.

It does a great job finding duplicates for sure sometimes too well? I do think that some will have a hard time deciding what's a dupe, how some are considered dupes but have different extensions, Even at byte for byte, 100%, this could still get extremely confusing for some and remove files that shouldn't be. Example, you may have two identical files but if you extend them, they have two extensions that are different. Tedious work when you end up with numerous files. Me, I use it mainly for basic files, like downloads, pics, etc... the system files I leave alone and find it best to not delete what I think would be dupes. Even if there is a few MBs of extras, with most hard drive sizes these days, I say, let it ride, don't fix what isn't broke and as with many apps, create a restore point and backup before you go deleting dupes. As far as the software goes, yep, it'll find them, just be careful what you delete is all.

While that is a fact, it's still only my opinion whether people would or wouldn't think it's a risk, that's up to them but you won't catch me having it enabled. Specially not for net send apps, not when there are so many cool tools for this but hey, it's free I guess. All in all, my opinion, useless no offense.

Well, considering it seems there is no zoom in on land, keeps getting server errors, doesn't want to load options too quickly, it's ok. I kept getting server disconnects and try again in 2 min, however, it's just enough time to turn you off to the app when this goes on every few seconds. It would be an awesome and informative software but it has a lot of bugs to work out. For now I'll stay with Google or MS earth software.

Being I fix computers I likely see this more often than an every day user but yes, it's true and have seen USB devices ruined from not properly ejecting the device. My opinion, I highly advise against it. It's not entirely the apps fault, or not at all, but people forget and then goodbye data. That said, oddly enough if you choose to hide inactive icons, you don't see it anyway until being used so why even need this app?

It's all done from one disk now. I feel it's a must have. I am not rating it based on what it is, rather, how useful I feel it is. Besides, we should stay updated anyway. Sad we need service packs to do so but that's the digital life so make it as easy as possible, download it! I think MS will send one out as well if you have a low internet speed. Also, I used Imgburn to put the iso on disk, works great.

While I don't think this is the worst burning app, I installed it on 3 computers to test it, oddly enough, the created disks only play on selected players, one van, but not in my car, only on my stereo but not my son's. When I use others, they play fine in all so I wasn't too impressed with Burrrn. It's ok I suppose and better than some and definitely better than nothing but I won't be using it for my coasters, I mean, audio disks.

For those who may need a more in depth feel to their cleaning, this would be great. Personally I'm not THAT concerned about wiping out my tracks with napalm effort but for those of you who are, this is a great app to have.

It has become an everyday part of my tech life and has never left my PC. I don't offer suggestions for Ccleaner since it's done a perfect job for so long, why mess with something that works?

Hey, for a free app, this is awesome. I thought, oh boy, another generic editor but was surprised! I still make my icons in Gimp but use this for other touch ups, it really adds a lot for help in icon creating, or for some, it IS the icon creator of choice. Either way, you can't lose by keeping this. It's simple enough to use, takes some reading, some getting used to features, but all in all I felt it was straight forward. Great work on this one!

Just to make sure, before I use this, I backed up with Erunt, then Eusing, then ran it over a period of a few days. 384 problems on first run, cleaned, my PC had a noticeable difference. I thought it worked well. Of course as with any registry cleaner, there is an upper pass and lower pass which requires more than one run so not an issue, just normal. So far no issues, seems great for a free cleaner, will keep it around.

I can honestly say, it's one of the best email backers, handlers out there. The only issue I have is that backing up and such seems to get a bit messy in the save folders. At least it does on mine. Instead of one solid backup, seems to get numerous files and have to rifle through them to find the restore. Maybe once I get used to it, it won't be so bad, however, it's just an awesome email backing utility, sleek looking, works well. This WON'T be leaving my computer, it's a keeper.

Seems a trend to pay a high price for pro versions, maybe it's just me but I would never pay that much for this. I found Pictomio to be a fair equivalent to ACDSee pro and it cost nothing. So while I have nothing bad to say about ACDSee pro, app wise, it's not good enough to pay that amount for. If it was 39.00 , eh, maybe. It's a resource hog if you have a slower pc, I am fortunate so didn't really notice on mine too much but it is very smooth, has numerous features, pretty much everything you could ask for.

Well, my son's friend just bought the full CS3 Adobe, and I downloaded a trial as well. I have to say, for the price, it's a rip off. It's worth a couple hundred easily but not what they ask, that is robbery. The features are great, and yeah, it's the grand daddy of editors, not a weak app by any means and does unlimited amounts of creation, editing and what not. However, I have done anything in the free Gimp and inkscape that PS can do, it's just a learning experience is all, different means of doing things, of course inkscape helps as well. So really, Adobe can have equivalents to it from a couple of apps, and heck, I'm not shelling out nearly a grand for them either! I won't lie and say Adobe doesn't have more features than any standard free app, but not enough to make me pay that kind of money. I wasn't THAT impressed by it. I think I'll buy a really nice PC instead and run Gimp happily!

However, there are numerous other apps to create icons just as good for free. If it was cheaper, I wouldn't mind it but after comparing it, I didn't feel it was anything special. I can create excellent icons in Gimp and that's free or numerous others. Yes it is a good icon program, I don't deny it but not for the price. If it was MUCH lower in price, I would have rated it higher. I would still recommend it, but only if someone wants to pay that much for it.

I have used it for Gimp Tuts, very effective! I have a HP pavilion with 1.2 ghz , 384 RAM, 40 gig drive, laughable, yes, but my son runs S2EXE on it just fine and doesn't kill the system, slows down a tad but not close to crashing which is why I like this, barely any sys resources and I use it for teaching him computer repair. I have him do things on the PC and watch just what he did by playing back the EXE. Doesn't get much better!

It's very fast changing the walls, has many options, like the calendar, very cool. I think it's far from finished and hope to see some features eventually like changing the textures separately along with color choices, transparency on the calendar, etc... I am an extensive Gimp user and make most my own textures, icons and anything else, however, it's very nice to have something like this that simply changes the scene for you. Just very simple to use and looks great, works fast. Gotta try this!

I think there should be a specific no. per download, IOW-whatever download you have, will come with one specific number. If you lose the download file, then yah, no choice. Also, I would like to see the redial and add a user features changed. Redial is fine really but adding a user should not be in with the redial after you add them. Also, contacts being backed up would be nice. Then again, this goes along with the certain number, not a changed one if you have to uninstall. Otherwise it's great!

I have read some users' replies in forums and sites etc. on Gimp and think there may be a misunderstanding, Gimp is not Xnview, or anything like, it's not supposed to be like them, see, those like Xnview are simple editors, Gimp is a FULL Blown editor and creator and while can be used for simple things, is too powerful to rate with simple editors. It's excellent for what it does. The steep learning curve is ONLY how deep you get into using it of course but it's fairly UNLIMITED when you do get to know it. Once again, if it's too powerful for some users, simple editors will do but if you want an all out application, Gimp will do just about anything. I use it for playing most things and it does the job. The CD ripping feature is decent and fairly quick too. The interface needs some change. Once you get used to it, it's not SO bad but I feel if MS put more effort into it, it could be an awesome player. I do feel the movie companies are to blame for hindering Windows ability to utilize WMP functions, not MS in this case. Well, I can honestly say iTunes is pretty good. It could use a major overhaul in my opinion though. It seems to be getting more on the stuffy, congested side, with all sorts of useless others thrown at you in iTunes. It's almost becoming intrusive which I don't like at all and am looking for another iPod handler. It's still ok, don't get me wrong but not for me, I don't care for it.

Oh yeah, if there is a tool I use for audio, it's this one. I won't use others but have tried them. Audacity is numero uno. It's sound capture, sound enhancement, and anything else right down to editing sounds, is just the best. It works fast, saves easily, turns some terrible sounding music to great or bearable, assuming you know how to use it of course. Audacity is only as good as the user, meaning, get to know it, it won't disappoint! I could never believe it's free but hey, I am not complaining!

Sure those of us who are used to IrfanView can safely say, it's great, but I think for beginners this may have too many features. I remember using it for the first time and my eyes hurt. It's an excellent free all around handler but sometimes I feel it's too much in some respects. I have a few separate apps for what I need to accomplish without the whirl pool of features that's IrfanView. That said, I think it's simply a matter of taste more than anything. I can't really say it's bad because it's far from that, just not what I look for I guess. Still a great software though, can't deny that.

Well, this is another I have used for a long time now, although I noticed more lag with this than others like Xnview, etc... so I began to not use it so much. I haven't noticed a change in the lag but if it no longer did this, I would rate it a 5, however, I don't feel it's up there with others and gave up using it much. Although I feel it's close to a 5, I just can't squeeze that last star out for it, gotta go with 4.

I have used Xnview for a long time, never had any issues with it. I like it for the batch conversion and quick viewing ability. It's not what I use for basic pic viewing but when I need an all around pic tool, it's great. Will always be a 5 in my opinion!

I just used this today and it seems like a browser with a lot to offer and I think can give Firefox a good run for the money. Well, they are both free but you get the point. It's faster in some areas. My wife likes Pogo and she has the easiest time with Flock so far. Whatever is different, it does seem to load and run faster than other browsers although I haven't clocked it yet, but will soon. Aside from that, I think it could certainly have potential to surpass many browsers eventually, we'll see. It's interface is ok, had trouble importing and exporting bookmarks from Firefox though, they wouldn't complete. IE7, no problem, ironic. Anyway, the interface is much like Firefox and very smooth once you get used to it. Don't go looking for themes yet though, there weren't any. I am thinking of creating one, we'll see. Over all a great browser, gave it a 4.

Hotkey CD Eject
  • Interface: 3
  • Features: 2

For one, the idea behind this is awesome but to the developer, a few bugs or suggestions that would make this something I wouldn't uninstall. 1. Allow hot keys to switch between drives. 2. Allow different hot key per device, if there is, it always went to default hotkey for me, only one key. 3. Allow a more specific combination like alt-G or something and a hotkey to auto unload without closing tray. As you will find if you don't unload and go to type, you have disk trays popping out at you, lol. Aside from this it has potential but the few mouse clicks it takes to load or unload, set keys, etc... can just as easily go into My Computer and do the same. That said, I hope to see an improvement in the future and would love to use this app.

Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 version SP1

Been using this for a while and run WinME, XPpro and Vista Business all virtually and works like a charm. I used to and still do sometimes, test rogue apps, spyware, viruses, etc... and what better way to do it than through a virtual system? It's worked flawlessly for me so no complaints. Although as with most virtual systems, you better have the resources to back it up. I only run 2 gig ddr2, no vid card, all onboard but can run all virtuals at once with little trouble. My son has 512 and cannot run Vista virtually but does run XP fairly well. Still, I suggest more resources to get the most out of it. It's free, excellent, and a must have.

Yep, this cleaner is all impressive, thorough, light, but could use a touch up on the interface and features I think. Nothing too drastic but just not so windows 98ish. I say this not for myself but because it may attract more attention then and show itself for what it is, an awesome disk cleaner. A must have!

I don't say much about Google apps but Google Earth is awesome, free, and really, what more could someone ask for? Would have killed for something like this when I was growing up *cough* no age mentioned, but still, this is just awesome. What a way to travel safely huh? For those like me who don't care to travel, you can explore a virtual world anyway even if not as good as the real one. I did get to view places I lived years ago when I was a kid, it wasn't just cool, it brought back memories by viewing these places. Very cool.
