Fatal flaws
AVS DVD Player version 2.1
This DVD player looks nice but has some serious flaws: 1) It does not deinterlace. If you watch video that was designed for TV, you'll see the jagged edges from playing interlaced video as if it were progressive. IMO, this totally disqualifies the program. 2) There is no way to make the controls sticky or force them to come in front of the playback window if that playback window is moved on top of the controls. Minor issue: More skins or the ability to create skins would be nice. The enclosed ones aren't bad but they aren't as visually easy to use as the classic interfaces of PowerDVD or WinDVD. The interface is quite attractive. Too bad the programmers didn't create proper function FIRST. Function follows form, not the other way around.

Stay away until critical flaws are fixed
Juice version 2.2
Juice looks beautiful and the interface is really nice. However, there is no way to rename the downloaded files. The "human readable" title might be "Photoshop TV episode 29" but you'll get the actual file name when the download is done. This makes it useless, in my opinion. Juice most certainly has all the needed information in its records but the developers seem to have a "screw you" attitude. It's very obvious in their forum when their response to a person asking for file renaming was instruction to "complain to the person who made the feed". Too bad. It looks nice and runs well but without file renaming, it's a complete waste of time, especially with the developer attitude.
