Versatile pdf printer
BullZip PDF Printer version 3.0.0.310
This software lets you print to PDF files easily, producing a good output. it also gives the option to append to existing PDF files (merge), also to edit the PDF title, author, subject data fields (in acrobat see document properties).

Very useful, light on resources
WinPatrol version 11.1.2007
Great little software. always keeps running on my computers. not a real time protection, but tells you about important changes. I also use Startup Inspector. that has to be run manually.

Fast ftp
LeechFTP version 1.3.1.207
My favotite FTP software told "Could not retrieve directory listing" so I had to find a new one, and this did the job, and fast! threads view is useful. can retry failed attempts with one click. It's old, but better than many newer ones.

Supports many formats
TUGZip version 3.4.0.0
It has a clean interface, quick, and supports many formats. I needed it for tar, gz. works great. for zip archives I still use XP's internal tool.

Recovered from flash memory
PC Inspector File Recovery version 4.0
Recovered accidentally deleted photo from SD card. some other files it recovered looked corrupt, this was because they had already been partially overwritten. very useful software.

Preferred screen capturer
MWSnap version 3.0.0.74
Does all that I need, the magnifier is very useful. I use Gadwin Printscreen, too, which is also very good. both run at my startup. setting size of capture before capturing is very useful, and doing small editing (rotating, scaling) without the need of an image editor is great :) it even remembers last few captures (undo)

Very good text editor
EditPad Lite version 6.1.2
For over a year, this is my default "view source" editor. does a great job. enough functionality, not cluttered with too many options. good notepad replacement. you can drag and drop multiple files into EditPad, and you can find and replace text in all tabs at the same time.

Easy html update
MEdit version 1.2.7
I use this software to make minor changes in remote html files, it's the quickest way I know. it lets you edit several files in tabs. very handy. (I would suggest that for remote sites on the context menu, there should be added "create new file", that would make things easier.)
