I just love it
Desktop Sidebar version 1.16
After first seeing Vista Gadgets I thought I would look for a sidebar like that for my XP. Well, this one is better. Very handy, able to do a lot of things I've been missing for a long time, etc. Has quite a few gadgets. (For first time users I recommend to remove the standard clock and add a World Clock that's much more customizable.) Take a look at the "Add plug-ins" page on the web, and see why I love this stuff. Undocked toolbars are my favorite - I can place file lists on my desktop for every project I work on. G.R.E.A.T.

Don`t expect too much
Absolute HTML Compressor version 1.14
When you read the word "absolute" and see some 80-85% compression ratios you can easily suppose that this program does a lot more than just remove the whitespaces and stuff. Wrong. That's what it does. This is the standard html compression method, don't expect too much. I did :) On the other hand, the program does the job, it's a fair tool to anyone looking for what it actually does. Still I wouldn't recommend to use this one - there are others, and this one has a little but annoying advertisement on the top.

Simply doesn't do the job
BackStreet Browser version 3.1
My problem was that BSB didn't fetch things the way it should. I tried clicking, looking, reading, begging but neither helped. BSB can download files but links will still open from the original server. NO, it's not that I haven't configured it properly. Believe me I did my best. The annoying fact is that it's probably a 2-chars bug that keeps BSB from working, I don't know... I wouldn't say bad things about the author, I see he is a thinking human but this time he just couldn't make it.

Smart and silent - just what i like
SpamBayes version 1.04
First of all: it WORKS. Does the job very well and doesn't disturb at all - this program is just silently working in the background, collecting the "questions" for you. Then when you say "ok, let's see what we have" it shows a well-formed list of each email you've received and you can start teaching. Mr Bayes gets smarter and smarter every time :) it's fun, but also surprising how fast he learns. What I really like about this program: it doesn't hide anything from you. No unwanted extras, no hidden mail disposal, it's all YOUR business to handle the results, Bayes just inserts his "humble opinion" about the mail and if you trust him enough you can make a rule in Outlook Express to collect the spam. So 1: you still receive everything, 2: you always have a chance to ignore the Bayes filter, 3: you can even check the mails AFTER they have been "managed". Great. You'll like it.

Return of the programming jedi
mp3DirectCut version 1.37
Once upon there was a sport called programming. This guy is one of the champions. Check the file size - for Gods sake, it's 45 KILOBYTES, and it has everything in it! Pretty interface, fast operation, no annoying extras, no install (it simply WORKS if you run the exe), no registry-f*cking, no unwanted behaviour. Very nice job, and very good tool. A must have.

Nice for simple things
Jet-MailMonitor version 6.1
It gives a few extras like blinking Scroll Lock led (!), configurable double click, number of account on system tray icon - well, if you don't need more than just a notifier, this is perfect. Good idea that you can reset the blinking icon after x secs so it won't be constantly beeping there to drive you mad. Another good thing that you can set poll intervals shorter than 1 min (which is rarely supported by other programs).

In emergency only
Powerbullet Presenter version 1.35
If you really hate Flash and need just a few simple effects to be quickly done - well, in this case it's good. But it's hard to control, it's not flexible, most of the fixed motion/spin effects are not cool at all, etc.

Very good
Stickies version 4.5b
Nice! This is a sticky note manager and a time-triggered reminder, too. Very good, VERY easy to use, can be controlled with a few comfortable one-hand hotkeys (not some ShiftAltCtrlScrollockZ:), styles are easy to save/recall, sizing is semi-automatic (just as it should be, x=manual, y=auto)... Stickies can sleep for a while, or UNTIL a specific time, very useful - a little inconvenience when setting the time from keyboard only, but it's okay. And, you don't need to worry about deleted stickies.

Create interactive Flash movies and tutorials to show how applications and systems work.
A powerful, yet easy-to-use tool to automate any series of tasks you can do on your computer.
