A gem among picture tools
The GIMP version 2.6.6
I found this piece of software when I started using ubuntu (Linux), because it is bundled with it. I was surprised with what I found. This is one of the best photo editing tools that I have ever used. True, the learning curve is a little steep, but it is well worth learning it. Come on, learning new things does not kill anyone. The interface is a little awkward, but you will get used to it very soon. It always does what I want it to do. There are many tutorial sites out there and they are free. That is the beauty of open source computing. There are many plugins for gimp, which increases your productivity. If you download this, dont let go, because it is the best of its kind, better than Photoshop, CorelDraw, etc. Worth using and learning. I recommend this to all the people who edits photos.

Good...but
McAfee SiteAdvisor version 2.6.0.6261
It used to be good, but it is becoming increasingly bloated. Recommended. Not foolproof, but none of the antiviruses are. It works better than the other tools like this in the market.

Very good
Mozilla Firefox version 3.0
An amazing web browser with lots of plug- ins and add-ons. It is fast an can easily beat Explorer with its features. It is very secure and there are many features.

Good anti-spyware
Spyware Terminator version 2.2.2.438
A very good anti- spyware. Very few products in the market offer free real protection and scanning. But, using it require advanced knowledge for using it. I is not the quiet kind of protection, but works.

A good encoder for advanced users
SUPER version 2008 build 30
Super is a very nice encoder. I stumbled across this while doing a project (in google) and this thing is amazing/. It can play and encode almost anything. The interface, though, can be improved as it is shabby. Overall, a good encoder.
