Cerullian
IconoMaker version 2.10
The program is good but not very different from most icon editors. One thing I don't like is that if you want to edit an existing icon you are restricted to only the colors that exist in it and I can't figure a way to access any other colors except by cutting and pasting into a new icon; quite awkward. Also, I would consider this to be adware rather than freeware.

Seems kind of pointless
PocketKnife Peek version 1.2
The idea of being able to get a plaintext view of Outlook messages is something I've wanted but this program requires you to select the message, which causes it to display as HTML in the regular manner, before you can click on the Peek button to redisplay it in text view. I don't get it. [Editor`s note: You need to turn OFF the Outlook Reading Pane. View/Reading Pane/ OFF ]

Awesome but a little buggy
Celestia version 1.3.2
A great educational program with a lot of interesting features. On the con side, I'd say its interface is not real intuitive and, on my system at least, it crashes a lot, sometimes forcing a reboot. Overall, though, this is one to keep an eye on.

Better than most but still awkward
Allway Sync version 1.9.2
This is a good try, but for me, the only useable folder sync program I've ever found is one called FileSync -- but that one is not free. My major problems with this program are: 1) files from different folders are all lumped together, 2) changing whether or not to copy files is tedious since must it must be done separately for each file from a drop-down list: there is no per-folder copy/uncopy all toggle, 3) you have to page thru a long file list rather than being able to scroll them, 4) the interface is cluttered and not well organized.

Very limited program
Inedita version 1.1.0
I unloaded this almost as soon as I installed it. The install allows no options and doesn't even indicate if its worked, but the program is sitting on your C: drive. The interface is ugly and can't be modified and the features are less than most other simple text editors so why bother?
